Been training MMA for the past month. Yesterday i got paired up with a sloot during training. She's been training MMA for over a year. She usually spars with other guys,i noticed they've been going easy on her because she's a girl. They usually block her shots and tap her back in retaliation. She kicks them, they never kick back. Everyone at the gym always raving about how good a fighter the bish is. How she always make the guys tap out.
So yesterday they teamed me up with her. She basically tried to make a bish out of me,hitting as hard as she could,full force. Tried to punch me in the throat most of the time. Blocked all of it. Then she elbowed me in the jaw. My reflexes kicked in and i gave her a solid jab in the face. Instant nose bleed. She fell flat on her back.
The whole gym stopped. White knights to the rescue. All sh!tting on me for "punching her so hard".
Manager calls me over,asks me what happened. I explain myself. He says if i want to "fight dirty" i better leave.

I grab my stuff and leave. Fuk this gay earth

That's what sparring is dumbass. It sounds like she might be going too hard, but you should not be punching hard enough to cause an injury or bust a nose, a) ever in sparring (unless you're a competitor or train in a competitive gym) and b) after 1 month of training.Originally Posted by mischman

It would take 12+ months back I used to train muay thai... and that was 12+ months on full committment, some people were never allowed to spar even after years.i know right. should be after 2 weeks. you pay, you play.
People were beasts before they joined the active fighters in the ring.
Then again it was a different time and combat sports weren't very popular. $3 a session and all the trainers were hard kunts from Thailand.
