It's easy to get into this nationalistic discussions with people. But in reality who cares? You won't change his mind, he won't change your mind. Just move onto a different subject and forget all about it.
We've won the referendum , you don't need to say anything else. He will take cold comfort in his country being slightly richer than ours the next time the chit hits the fan over there."Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'Press On' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race."

That's exactly it, really.
If you didn't vote, you don't have the right to complain. The non-voters could have swung the result either way and like a lot of British politics, things are won and lost on apathy.
If you voted and was on the losing side. That's just democracy.Aria Company crew

Congratulations Great Britain on your historic vote. Congratulations on opting for short term pain in exchange for longterm freedom. Congratulations on telling the Globalist's to take their open border, culturally void, homogenized view of the world and blow it out their ass.
The tipping point has been reached. This vote is the first domino to fall in the rejection of the statist, Fascist agenda. Americans need to take some fukking notes. Observe what it looks like to take back your sovereignty from foreign/banking rule.
This is a shot across the bow for multiculturalism, socialistic tyranny. Prepare yourselves America because there won't be a safe space, politically correct pot to piss in by this time next summer. I strongly suggest you start studying your history and economics so you understand what it's going to take to survive in a democratic republic that is ruled by law and reason. Where ideas can be discussed, regardless of "feelings."
No more being lazy with your thoughts, opinions and actions. No more crying because someone offended your ability to be a victim. No more Kumbaya. No more cuckery.

You should call them ableist and discriminating against people that have the right to vote, such as those with mental disability and learning issues. Some dyslexics have problems writing essays and having to write an essay for a basic democratic right would be extrmely taxing for them, even if they could articulate their thoughts and opinions vocally. Same also goes for other disabilities, such as people with down's.
Don't get me wrong, though, a lot of morons voted on an uninformed whim based on a few facts about immigrants, muh EU control of laws, and whatever else, but that doesn't change that they still have the right to vote.
The referendum was lost on non-voting young people in their 20s and 30s. Their apathy and/or complacency is what allowed the leave vote to gain a winning swing.Aria Company crew

^^ We've won the referendum. Arguing at this point is pointless, we no longer have to justify ANYTHING to anyone. We only did that to make them think about voting for Brexit right? Forget these people. It's only your ego that is driving the argument onwards at this point thinking you might get one up on the other guy, be the bigger man and walk away.

It's completely right. This decision should have been left in the hands of people who understood the EU. These kind of decisions end up being made on who campaigns best, how many people do you think made a logical thought out decision on this? I apply this to stayers and leavers, 99% of us don't know ****.
I didn't vote because I had no idea what was best. From an outside perspective, everything was voted on a few choice sentimental issues. Their are people out there right now burning the EU flag, there are people who genuinely don't want foreigners in England. These are people that had a say in how a whole country will now operate.
Democracy is flawed, because you're giving idiots a choice, and idiots should be ignored. Unfortunately there's no perfect system, it's great we get to choose who leads us, but we never should have had this particular decision in our hands. It's going to be interesting to see what happens in the future, I genuinely hope leaving the EU benefits us because it's happened now. But well... if it does all go to **** I hope they never hold a referendum like this again.
I guess this is an unpopular opinion since being able to vote is a great thing....

The issue is people only know what they get taught for the most part. So if they're getting taught the EU Superstate is a great thing etc, they're going to write a load of nonsense to justify that then vote. Only a small amount of people will read the Lisbon Treaty (or even small parts of it) and research the history behind the EU etc etc
