He just showed up and won't leave

He seems timid af I went to pet him and he coward back like crazy.

Also seems like he hasn't eaten in days


Animal control is closed till Monday, I already have a doge and it's a male pit

I second feeding and giving water. call an animal shelter for help. call the police and ask if someone called to report a missing dog. if no one reported sth then just tell them your info so the owners know how to contact you if they call the police.

if everything is closed and no one can help just take care of the dog until the animal shelter opens again.

Lol at saying you have a male pit as a excuse to not help the dog. If you raise your dog right, why would its breed matter? Got 3 pits and haven't had any issues.

leave the food and water out there for it, if it's been mistreated and ran off it might have some sort of complex about eating from a person's hand

if you just have it available for when it's ready, it might be more likely to eat it

why do u think dat? ur dog super aggressive? why'd u raise em like that... keep the stray dog in your garden if it is fenced.

I know this situation sucks. I was in this situation 2 times. One time a dog ran alone by me while I was walking my dog and I just held his collar and stood there like a ******* for some minutes and then luckily the owner drove by me and picked up his dog. but I doubt you'll have that luck.

Keep it in a fenced area if you really think the dogs would fight .. if u have no fences then call someone that has a garden or would take in the dog for 2 days.

but really, call the cops and ask if a missing dog was reported. that was what I did when my dog went missing (long story, not my fault..) and the police told me that someone reported to them that they found a dog. Mom drove there, got dog, all good.

Well I went and fed him some turkey and he ate it like crazy. Put some water out, he let me pet him after a few mins. He's shaking like crazy from fear tho weird.

We have been having some crazy weather so he's probably lost. I'll keep until Monday, but I can't keep him in the backyard. Hopefully he doesn't run away

probably gonna have to hang around him a lot to get him to trust you

assuming no collar, there's still potential he's microchipped but you'd have to get him to a vet to be scanned
