Years working out: Started on January of 2013, so just over 3 years now.
Years on board: Same time I started lifting, a little over 3 years ago.
Sections you post on board: I post mainly on the misc these days but over the years I have also been a frequent reader of the supplement and training sections.
Any credentials such as supplement knowledge background, training certifications etc.:
Through my 3 years of training I have researched and learned plenty about supplements and lifting. My philosophy with supplements is that I do not take any supplement I have not researched thoroughly. I want to know what I am putting into my body and the effects it will have and the possible side effects it may have (just in case that occurs). I want to be conscious and careful because supplements are very helpful when used properly but can also be harmful when used inappropriately. The latter usually occurs when the user does not have the proper knowledge about what they are taking. My go to for research is examine.com but I also look up threads about the supplement I am trying to find about on the bodybuilding forums. I feel that over the 3 years of working out my progress speaks for itself and I attribute this to the research and learning I have done about supplements, lifting, nutrition and everything else bodybuilding related.
In your application explain what brought you to the boards, what inspires you to lift and most importantly why you want to be a part of MuscleTech!
In late 2012 and into January 2013 I was going through a rough time in my life and dealt with a lot of stress with anxiety with school and just life in general. I was given a gym membership as a Christmas gift that December and started going. As I got into the rhythm of going daily, it became a place where I can relax and unwind. I loved the feeling of being able to focus on just one thing (lifting) while I was at the gym because away from the gym I had a lot of other things on always on my mind. This eventually became somewhat of an obsession, especially once I started noticing my progress. 3 years later the same things still motivate me to go, the gym being that place to get away from everything and clear my mind. I feel like MuscleTech is a trusted and respected brand on these boards because of they do have research to back up their products. I know that the majority of the members on these boards, myself included, always look for studies to back up their products and I can help lead posters in the right direction on where they can find the information they need regarding a product.
Good luck everyone!IG: dontstressbenchpress

Years Working out: I have been training for over twenty years. I started really training at 18. I became more serious about it when I started powerlifting in my mid twenties. At this time I began my certifications in fitness. I currently hold 9 separate certifications. They include CPT, PFT, nutrition, core specialist and a few others. I have trained people in multiple gyms. I currently train between my own home gym and a world gym.
Years on the boards: I have been on the boards for the last 9 years. I got on the boards as I wanted to know more about training and nutrition. I am kind of an infomanic. I posted in several section including nutrition, misc., supplements and training.
What qualifies you and why muscletech: I have spent the last seven years repping for different companies. I started as a rep for AAEFX. After a year I took over as the lead rep. When I left their program I took over as lead of Formutech. I spent over a year with them, until they stepped away from that program. I them started with Prime. I was with Prime since they were on the boards and was lead for them for over a year. The recently left BB.com. I feel that I would be a good fit for Muscletech because I believe in the brand. When I get involved with a company I choose the one very carefully as I like to work for companies whose products I would use and believe in to recommend to clients, family and friends. Muscletech has been around for a long time and I have used several of their products. I study all products that I use so I have a full understanding of what ingredients are and how they would effect my body.
Inspiration: My brother got me into lifting and to this day is one of my biggest inspirations. He taught me that when you in the gym its you verse you. The other person who gets my motivated is my son. At 3 he has some delays. He takes on his therapy with a smile and loves pushing himself each time he is asked to. When in the gym I have learned to push myself and take on every new weight with energy and the knowledge that if he can I can. He never backs down and I can't as well because I know he's watching me.Last edited by Cheftepesh; 03-01-2016 at 11:03 PM. Reason: added app

Years working out: I've been working out regularly since I was a freshman in high school when my dad and older brother brought home a weight set and I made it my goal to curl one of the 25 pound dumbells that came with it. Since then I've underwent surgery to have my left elbow pieced back together after a horrible car accident in high school followed by six months of physical therapy and then brain surgery in 2008 followed by three months of complete bed rest and never once did I lose my passion for working out and bettering myself in the gym.
Years on board: I registered for the forums almost seven years ago and was really active in recent years but I took a hiatus from the forums for a while due to my wife and I embarking on a journey to become foster parents in April of last year. During that process I opted to step down as a representative for ANS Performance. I made that decision since I didn't feel I could contribute in a significant way as we adjusted to going from just my wife and I to a sibling group of four and us. Since then we have had another sibling group of four and now have a sibling group of three that we are taking care of and we've become much more effective at balancing our workloads.
Sections you post on board: Almost exclusively in the supplement sections (general, reviews and promotions)
Any credentials such as supplement knowledge background, training certifications etc.:
Utilizing my previous rep experience with ANS and Neogenix prior to that and the fact that I received my personal trainer certification through NASM last month and will be pursuing a job in that field in the coming weeks, I think I could certainly contribute to the promotion of MuscleTech products both on the forums and out in the "real world" with my new career path.
Also, I was a member of the MuscleTech product test team for a while and enjoyed each product I had the opportunity to try and I love how well rounded and comprehensive the lineups from each series are. MuscleTech protein powder is almost always in my pantry as well thanks to the great price and quality I receive from one of the big bulk vendors.
With all of that said, MuscleTech is an industry powerhouse for a reason and I'd be grateful to even be considered to be affiliated with you all.Staples:

Actually lifting 2011
I first started coming here in 2010
Misc, Powerlifting, Keto, Supplement, Workout Logs and Company Promo
I do not have any certifications. I do have experience, I have done more 5ks, 5 ml, half marathons, and fun runs than I can count. (Well I can go in my closet and count shirts, I only kept the dry fit ones). I have done Powerlifting Meets. I have been skiing and Rock Climbing, and Mountain Biking in a few different states. I used to work for Chicago Special Events, they set up 90% of the events (races, marathons, festivals and more) so I know how events and expos are behind the scenes, so if Muscle Tech needed a rep to work at an Expo, Powerlifting meet, or Bodybuilding show I would be extremely comfortable.
I was 300 lbs over weight and needed to change, I knew nothing or working out or nutrition. At first I tried to clean up what I ate, I actually started replacing lunch with Subway. I lost the first 40 lbs just trying blindly. Then I stalled out, and started riding a bike 8 miles a day. This worked again for another 20 lbs, before stalling again. I joined a gym and got a personal trainer, it was one of the biggest waste of money I ever spent.... I often spent time on forums for other things, but found out about bodybuilding.com. I spent so much time learning everything I could. I spent hundred of hours, probably over a thousand watching youtube videos on fitness.I learned how to work out, and eat correctly. (I am still learning how to train actually).
I was over weight and have seen what getting in shape has done physically and mentally. I never want to go back. I have gotten into Powerlifting, I am nothing special but I am competitive and will not stop till I make something of myself.APF Summer Bash 08/14

Years working out Been into working out since high school but got serious about 6 years ago.
Years on board Signed up in 2010 when I started getting serious about fitness but didn't really know what to do with my account until a few months later. Then I started posting asking questions (newb status) I'm sure I have some cringe worthy posts. I hung around the teen section, fat loss, workouts/exercises and eventually made a home in the Supplement section.
Sections you post on board
Supplement section mostly, but I stalk other sections from time to time. Usually workout programs.
Any credentials such as supplement knowledge background, training certifications etc.
Nothing official but I feel I as though I should have something(sarcasm) as I have researched alot about fitness related subjects. Studies for supplements, workout programs, fat loss programs etc. I do have 2 years experience as a rep for Neogenix. With that I learned what its like to be a rep for a company and see how they fit on the forums. Ran promos etc.
I do believe a company is as strong as their reps as least on the forums.
In your application explain what brought you to the boards, what inspires you to lift and most importantly why you want to be a part of MuscleTech!
Well I have been into working out and fitness since high school and I had the same mentality most young boys do as they want to have huge muscle/abs. Except I didn't have the direction and drive as I do now. From there I was just your average gym goer. I'd show up whenever and do whatever with no direction or goal in mind. It wasn't until I started living on my own at the age of 19 when I saw I needed to get serious. Since living on my own I was in charge of my own groceries so being a young teen fresh out of their parents house I bought the crappiest food. And also being too lazy to cook made for alot of fast food/take out. Combined that with heavy drinking made for some weight gain.
Now I didn't get too fat just stared seeing a beer belly form. I personally hated that image in general and I didn't want that. So from there I decided to take charge and make the changes to get rid of it. I didn't really know much about fat loss but I figured eat less calories was the key so I did about 2000-2200 calories based on the general guidelines the government gave out for nutrition. Didn't know anything about marcos or protein intake. But it worked out for me and I got back to a lean figure. From there I decided to see how "big" I could get by gaining muscle. Somewhere in there I signed up on bb.com and started getting info on how to do it all. Bulking/cutting and what kind of workouts to do.
From there I just learned as much on the forums, they gave me the concepts of cutting/bulking, marcos, protein intake etc. So I owe alot to the forums for that.
I honesty didn't give supplements a look at all during the initial 2 years. To me they felt overpriced and I didn't know anything about them so I stayed away. But I did gradually get into the basics, protein, creatine, glutamine, etc. But each time I heard about something I made sure to research it myself and from there decided to see if it was worth a try. And once I did try I was able to make a fair assessment of said supplement.
So after a couple of solid years of lifting and eating right I decided to see what other kinds of supplements are out there. So from there I dove into and started trying everything. But of course I researched it all first. So that was about 5 years ago and flash forward to today I have a good understanding of supplements and the role they can play in a workout/fitness routine as well as which ones are worth the money.
I have always been inspired to keep lifting as a way to be different. Not alot of people are dedicated enough to go workout when they don't want to or make excuses.
I just have this mental drive to keep doing what I'm doing and someday I'll see the benefits of my labors. Also I got married the year I stepped up my fitness plan. I didn't want to fall into the "let yourself go" lifestyle people have when they marry. I wanted to do the opposite.
These days I'm inspired to lift for more or less of the same reasons with some additions. I usually work 50 hours a week at a physical job so when most people would want to crash when they get home I know my day isn't over until I get a lifting session in.
Also I have 2 daughters so I have to look intimidating when the boys start coming around......so thats another reason I'm inspired to keep lifting.
Lastly , lifting is great therapy session as well. There have been many a times when things weren't going well for one reason or another. Then a lifting session usually made things better.
I've invested a good chunk of changed into my own home gym so I don't plan on quitting any time soon.
So being part of Muscletech would be an great experience. I wasn't a big Muscletech fan until they changed a few years back and started making things non-prop blends and I would actually buy their products. It means a great deal for a big company like Muscletech to see that a change for the better is good for their costumers.
I was on the product test team as well and enjoyed most of the products I received. I like the breakthough into the retail chain (Walmart) as I can pick up certain supplements from Muscletech of I'm running low on something. I usually grab some of those new protein bars everytime I'm in the store.
Currently giving Clear muscle a try.
Thanks for the consideration!!
