5x5 was the only thing that ever worked for my squat. It was uncomfortable, it was grueling, but I was doing my 1rm for 5 in about 6 months. My squat still sucks but I'm working to make this the year of 4 plates.
I liked the OHP one. It's an often overlooked compound lift, but a good one for us manletsbrah's with short arms lol.Don't put that on me Ricky Bobby, don't you ever put that on me.

Just a PSA to everyone doing this comp. Make sure you warm-up properly. I was doing some heavy doubles today and rushed my warm up. I pulled something in my chest 2nd set, probably wont bench for a few days to be safe.

lol yeah I think you would still be on that leaderboard at the end. Especially if you stayed in the 198 Class. In the 220 Class.... hell you would still be pretty competitive.
A little too quick on the bottom. Sight pause, then back up. Otherwise keep everything else the same.
Edit: I did watch it like 5 times hoping for a slight pause lol. I hate telling people no liftYou would be surprised just how much time I have to waste.

Slowly trying to reincorporate Bench pressing. I'm pretty sure with all my overhead pressing, my incline bench is probably higher than my flat bench right now.

The 132 Class is everything under 132 pounds. The 148 Class would be every weight between 133-148. Weight classes are usually listed by the max bodyweight you are allowed to be for that class. The only exception is the 276+ Class, obviously.

Benching was solid last week. I only had 3 sets of 5 reps, ramping up to 280x5. It was fairly easy. This week I am supposed to end my working sets with three heavy singles at 315, 325, and 335. Going to see how it goes. I think I am on that mental block time
