I love breakfast food. There have been days where all three of my meals have been some assortment of eggs, pancakes, and cereal or oatmeal. I firmly believe that if I don’t get some type of true breakfast every day, I’ll go criminally insane. Brunch? Let’s go. Brinner? Now you’re talking. So when I saw that iForce made a protein flavor called “Brown Sugar Maple Oatmeal Cookie”, my first reaction was “…and now they have found a way to make my protein essentially a pure breakfast food. I may die now in happiness”.
iForce 100% Whey Protean is a whey protein concentrate that comes in five flavor choices: the aforementioned Brown Sugar Maple Oatmeal Cookie, Chocolate Covered Pretzel (latest addition), Chocolate Milk, Strawberries & Cream, and Vanilla Dream. The nutritional profile on 100% Whey Protean is pretty standard and doesn’t really contain any surprises. A single, 34 gram scoop contains 140 calories (20 from fat), 2g of fat (1g saturated), 6g total carbohydrates (1g of sugar), and 25g total of protein. The protein content is made up of what they called the “100 Whey Protean Proprietary Blend”, which is 32.5g and contains “Instant Whey Protein Concentrate and Microparticulate Whey Protein Concentrate”. This is probably the biggest mark against 100% Whey Protean, as it uses a proprietary blend and does not fully disclose its label content.
I’ll just jump right to my conclusion: this is one of the best tasting protein powders I have ever used. As I said before, I am an enormous breakfast fan, so I must admit to being slightly biased towards anything is based on my favorite meal. Brown Sugar Maple Oatmeal Cookie really stays true to its name, even if the different ways I tried it brought slight twists to the flavor. For instance, in oatmeal, you get a really strong, sweet brown sugar flavor with a hint of maple syrup. Absolutely delicious for oatmeal, I strongly recommend throwing in some mix-ins like a banana and almond slices (I also did blueberries). The flavor in oatmeal was pretty similar to when I did it with 5oz of greek yogurt plus rolled oats, but I got a stronger maple syrup flavor. I’m assuming I didn’t get the “oatmeal cookie” taste because the actual oatmeal was counter-acting it, but I definitely got a stronger oatmeal taste when I mixed a full-scoop with 8oz of unsweetened vanilla almond milk. I was really surprised at how well it tasted in a shake because initially I was worried that the brown sugar/syrup would take center stage and simply be too sweet for me. However, in a shake form, I got less of a brown sugar/syrup taste and more of an oatmeal flavor, so the shake was not overly sweet at all. Very easy to down! Lastly, I made some pancakes with only half a scoop of 100% Whey Protean, and that was more than enough! I did put some Walden Farm’s Pancake Syrup on them, but the pancakes turned out fluffy and moist, and the brown sugar flavor really took over! Probably some of the best pancakes I have devoured in quite some time! Another great aspect about this protein is just how easily it mixes. Whether I was mixing it oatmeal, yogurt, pancake mix, or almond milk, I encountered NO clumping, no rough spots, nothing. It mixed very well each and every time, regardless of how I was using it.
With steel cut oatmeal:
In 5oz plain Greek Yogurt plus rolled oats:
As a shake with 8oz of unsweetened vanilla almond milk:
Panckes!!!!
Conclusion
If you love breakfast, you’re going to love “Brown Sugar Maple Oatmeal Cookie” 100% Whey Protean by iForce. I have yet to come across a flavor that really brings out the taste of breakfast quite like this protein powder, and the fact that is easy to bake with makes it even more attractive to me. My biggest complaint is that it uses a proprietary blend and does not fully disclose this information. However, when I compare this gripe against how well it tastes and mixes, it becomes a distant memory. This powder really does remind me of brown sugar, maple, and oatmeal cookies. If you want to make some outstanding pancakes, pro-oats, or just have a tasty shake, “Brown Sugar Maple Oatmeal Cookie” 100% Whey Protean should be at or near the top of your selection list. You can’t skip on this one!
Overall – 9.5/10

Wow, those pictures, though!! Awesome review! I also find it to be one of the most extremely versatile flavors in our line. It's delicious in almost every medium, and the flavor actually changes a bit depending on what it's mixed with. Sometimes the brown sugar is more prevalent, sometimes it's the oatmeal cookie flavor, sometimes it's the maple. Thanks for reviewing this for us.

I disagree .................. with nothing that you said. BSMOC is delicious. I was a little worried that I'd get sick of it before I finished a whole 4.3lb tub, but not even close.
Ate most of it in IMO fiber bars and F A G E greek yogurt. Mixed really well with both.
When I get some more in the future, will pair it with some cinnamon bun or cinnamon swirl protein powder. That will put fiber bars and greek yogurt over the top.
