How did you guys become Stern fans?

I was severely depressed and suicidal back around mid 2000s. Didn't know Stern. Being a WWE fan, I was watching random wrestling videos on youtube and I came across a Hulk Hogan w/ family interview on Stern. Stern was asking Hogan some insane sex questions regarding his daughter. I didn't know how great Stern was at that time, so I legit thought Hogan was going to physically attack him. I had never up to that point heard anyone get asked such weird sexual questions about their own daughter. One question was weirder and sicker than the next. Hogan just sat there and attempted to answer the questions seriously, never showing a hint of anger. I didn't know what was going on, it was crazy.

Then I looked up Stern, and listened to maybe hundreds of hours of past shows while working. It was the wildest radio I had ever heard ever, this was the first guy who was talking like a real guy and not some fake tv *******. In a way it gave me a reason to live. I had suicidal ideations every day up to that point, but decided that I needed to stay alive just to hear what this nutcase was going to say or do the next show. I laughed so hard all the time, and learnt so much. The guy is a genius in my opinion. His "never get married" lecture was priceless, even tho he went on to get married again anyways lol.

Wasn't yet a fan during the Jackie years, but Artie was so good on that show. The guy shared his life, he is such a riveting and likable fellow. Wish he was still on. The show is now not what it used to be, but it's still pretty good. Howard has become a little bit like the Hollywood *******s that he used to bash so viciously. He's no longer one of the common men anymore.

It is possible that I'm alive today cuz of The Howard Stern Show, as fuking retarded as it may sound. I don't expect anyone to believe me.

I am fuccin old, so I started way back during the channel 9 shows. I discovered the channel 9 shows before I listened to him on the radio. One day, I was watching the Phil Donahue Show, and someone called and said bababooeey and Donahue was asking what the hell does that mean, and people on the audience were saying it's that crazy guy Howard Stern on the radio and he has a stupid local show in New York. I have been listening ever since, although I did stopped listening for a while because Howie used to make fun of Michael Jackson so much and I was a huge fan of Mike back in those days.
