I just finished my second workout of this routine. so far i like it alot but i just performed a full rep with the weight i was supposed to do a negative with. does this mean i should move up to a 220 max? i started with a 215 max btw.
for anyone who knows what im talking about, this is what ive done so far for bench
Week 1
Workout 1 (Monday)
165 x 6
180 x 5
180 x 5
185 x 4
185 x 4
Workout 2 (Friday)
185 x 3
185 x 3
200 x 2
200 x 2
220 x 1 THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A NEGATIVE ONLY
Now does this mean i should move up to a 220 max for week 2 of the program? When i maxed i had just come off a bad cold and i guess my strength wasnt back up yet.

that may be it. before i had a cold i maxed at 225, but just barely. i maxed again after the cold and 215 felt very heavy so i didnt attempt any higher. going to 220 would be a good idea i guess then. if all goes well on this program my max will be 245 at the end, which is very close to my ultimate goal of 250
and yes, i think i did get the routine from ur postAge- 18 as of 8/20

I bet if you push yourself you can make 255. I'm the same height and weigh just 7lbs more than you and my max is 245 and I'm trying to gain back my 270, so I'm proof that you've got a good change of getting that max with your current stats, let me know what you get in 7 weeks, I'm hoping for 265.
Good luck!
