There are so many Seiko 5 variants. I thought it might be an SNKL07 or SNKl13 but the hands don't match.

If it exists it'll be here. Good luck: http://www.watchsleuth.com/seiko5finder/

Ray Raven came in yesterday and I am loving it

Will be trying out some different straps eventually. Was hoping it came in before Friday because I wanted to wear it with a camo nato for Veterans Day

Thank you. Waiting on a shipment from cheapest nato straps, should be here any day and I'll post a few different looks. I like the bracelet a lot more than I thought I would. Figured I'd stick mostly with natos on it, but now I am thinking otherwise.

I don't think I'll use the site "massdrop" ever again. I live in Korea and it's been about 1 1/2-2 months since I joined the "drop" and I have still yet to receive anything.

On the contrary, I've ordered from jomashop and Chronomaster, both watches came in a little over a week.

yea thats hw mass drop works tho, you have to wait until they accumulate enough sales to to hit the price break and then they have to get the stuff and ship it out.

That's how it works. They give you a shipping estimate before you even join the drop.

Hello guys, I lurk here from time to time and am no means knowledgeable about watches.

i have come down to 2 choices to buy an entry watch since i am studying and would really want to own a decent one at an inexpensive price. (had 0 watches previously srs)

I am looking at the Seiko SKX007 and also the Orient Black Ray Raven. Both of them appeal to me but I am utterly clueless after reading all the specifications and stuff as to which is better (?) or more worth (?). I don't really know how to phrase it.

Just thought I had asked this question before spending and regretting. I am mainly looking for a watch that i can wear as a daily beater and suitable for most occasions.

    Thanks in advance!
The world would be a better place if everyone would channel their frustration and anger to better themselves and be nicer to everyone they meet. Everyone has their own fights and stories to tell, you are not more important than another.

    - note to self, lessons from 2016.

To answer your question simply...both are great affordable watches and IMO on the same level of quality and subjective "worth."
You can't go wrong with either.

Pick whichever one you like the look of more and wear it in good health.

    Thanks in advance!
if its one or the other gets the skx cause its more versatile, its a polished steel case so you can dress it up or down, the raven would be tough to do that with. if you said the black mako or the skx tho im going black mako everytime.

speaking of the black mako, its otw today:

    Looking good WB4D!

I have nothing new to report.. I've been on the BLNR waiting lists with a few AD's for months now and next to no progress SS Rolex over here in the UK are very scarce atm, despite the Rolex price increase on 1st Nov. So just playing the waiting game as I don't want to pay over retail. You legit can't even find Subs in AD windows, only things like Yachtmaster I's , Milgauss, Datejusts. Very sad times when you have to wait months to hand over your money aha.

Thus I am still currently a 1 watch man

Are you a member on Rolexforums? you can buy from a trusted seller there for less than AAd prices even new in box with stickers still on sometimes. There is also a thread currently going for UK brahs because of how scarce the SS sports models are , anytime a member stops by an AD in the UK he updates the thread with what they have in stock, might be worth checking out, good luck.

Yeah I'm on Rolexforums (I post under the same username) and actually posted in that UK thread. 99% of the trusted sellers on TRF are from US so buying from there isn't really an option as GBP is weak and will have to pay an additional 20% on imports into UK, so a BLNR will work out thousands over retail
UK is currently cheapest in the world for Rolex so just keeping my eyes peeled on resellers asking for very small premium or hope to get a call from AD. Appreciated, brah

narrowed down to orient mako II as my first watch. now i have this problem, currently deciding between black or blue. fugggg.

i'll be getting a few straps (maybe a leather, NATO and rubber?) to pair them up with it for different occasions and would you guys say that black is easier to match with? sorry for these questions.
The world would be a better place if everyone would channel their frustration and anger to better themselves and be nicer to everyone they meet. Everyone has their own fights and stories to tell, you are not more important than another.

    - note to self, lessons from 2016.

Can't go wrong with either black or blue - black possibly a little more versatile but not by much, I'd honestly just go with what colour you prefer the look of, I'd prob go blue.

Some good advice for molo, I think black or blue are both good choices.

I got a Ray Raven a few weeks ago and absolutely love it molo, but I think it makes for a better 3rd or 4th watch once you have a few more versatile watches.

I have been lazy with posting pictures of it with a few natos I bought, will post soon
