Enjoy it! Take it apart and clean it good, check the firing pin chamber for debris, mine and a lot of folks I read have crud in them from the factory. I broke my pistol in with Winchester White box, ran a chit load with no problems. Keltec will replace any part for free with one phone call if you end up having an issue.

EDIT: I just re-read, you shot it already. Still check the firing pin chamber for goodies.

Thanks, I didn't think of that. I did have enough sense to clean it really well though. It is soaking in atf right now.
Just as a reference I paid $200 for it. Called around this morning at various shops and this one said somebody had just brought this one in. I think it's an older one because don't the newer ones have a metal mag release button?

I had that issue when I had a Taurus. I finally got that thing firing right, then I traded it off. Everyone wins.

Just did research on the sn. Apparently it was built in '08. If I had known that I probably would not have gotten it. Oh well, live and learn.
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
After reading about issues people have had with theirs I was pleasantly surprised that it shot as well as it did.

The LC9 is easier to shoot by far.

I'll look at mine when I get home tonight, I bought mine new about 5 or 6 years ago. I think you got a good deal since it ran without any hiccups. Google "KelTec fluff N' buff", also check out the Keltec forum.

It seems with the cheaper guns chit like this happens often, they charge less for the gun at the cost of QC. The dirty firing pin chamber was my only issue with my PF9, I'm selling it to my Bro in law cause my hands are too big for sub-compacts. I'm sticking to compact and full size from now on.

For the price, I wouldn't complain. But, I'd look into a better pistol for defense. Comparable would be a shield or g43. That's just me.

I'm familiar. I have 2 LC9 pros that I believe can match any of the higher tiered guns out there.

Flex is related to the barrel thickness and material properties. The thicjer and stiffer a barrel is, the less it will deform when subjected to the shockwave a discharged round produces.

The idea of vibrations is slightly more complicated. In short, the vibration a barrel undergoes will be an addition of all constituent components on the rifle. Youl always have the natural frequency of the barrel itself, which is ideally all you want. But adding things like a gas block, or a front aight post like on an ak will complicate the vibrations, which will impact the movement of the tip of the barrel.

Btw, the process of adding waves together is called fourier superposition. Fourier is pronounced 4ea.

Btw, the process of adding waves together is called fourier superposition. Fourier is pronounced 4ea.
So you are saying a thin profile barrel is less accurate than a heavy barrel assuming both are FF and not rapid firing?

Holding everything constant like barrel length, calber and projectile type, a thicker barrel will absolutely be more accurate

To be honest, i dont know much about the platform, other than i want multiple configurations of it.

But its probably worth noting, it depends what you plan on doing with the rifle. A long heavy barrel is great for bench rested long distance shooting, but its more difficult to accurately hit something while standing with a rifle thats very front heavy. Thats where a shorter, lighter rifle would be better

It's probably worth nothing that that is completely false. If you find this to be the case you have major issues with your position

And are we going to pretend that one can't build a 308 AR with a krieger barrel and geissele in it for less than half whatever the sr25 goes for? And if you try to tell me the kac trigger and barrel are better than a geissele and krieger I'm going to recommend getting an MRI on your brain

Like i said pin, i know practically nothing about these different components on an AR10. Il have to do some research before id be able to give any insight about which brand is better for the price.

And im sure stance plays a roll, but its fukn difficult to even hold a very front heavy rifle on target while standing. I personally am much better with a 16" carbine ar than i an with my 22" saiga 308, even though the saiga is more accurate bench rested.
