Intra-MD, arguably the best pre/intra nutrition product on the market at the price point it's at.

If I'm on the go, my morning preworkout shake:
1/2 cup Oats
1 Banana
1-2 tsp instant Coffee
1 tsp Cinnamon
1 tsp Cocoa Powder
1 scoop protein
That or some overnight oats. It's like dessert every morning. No citizen has a right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training...what a disgrace it is for a man to grow old without ever seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.

Sure it will. I like the starchier white for pre and post with the sugar in the ketchup and some protein in the form of cottage cheese, but of course it will.
It is like this, your body is a product of what you do, day in and day out. So your other meals, macro, micro nutrient intakes will also play a role.Joey Rodrigues

I personally love working out fasted (taking a PWO shake first thing upon waking before I hit the gym).
I used to eat before lifting and would eat proats roughly 1-1.5hr before lifting, and I'd then take my PWO product 15-20 min prior to lifting. That timing worked best for me.Myprotein's Official Bodybuilding.com Lead Representative ✔

Thanks...I still consider myself a newbie at all this. And find myself hitting a few pitfalls at times. Lucky I am older and can take a step back and listen to those with more experience. So thanks for that advice. I tried Bagel before and that did not cut it...ended up puking on legs day lol

Just as an FYI, it takes about 16 hours to be fasted. Also, taking protein prior to working out defeats the fasting process. Depending my goals and time I train I change around wether I eat and or supplement prior to training or not.
Recently because of work loads and scheduling - and the goal of staying lean - I train on a empty stomach (a couple of products) and lift then hit cardio after.
This works best for me for building/maintaining lean body mass and burning bodyfat.
At the end of the day it is about experimenting with different protocols and seeing what works best for you.Joey Rodrigues

Food? If you want food, then eat 90 minutes pre workout and eat a combination of protein, healthy fat, and carbohydrate. Steak and baked potato would be PERFECT!
If you're looking for supplement, something with citrulline (2-5 grams), agmatine (500-1,000 mg), creatine (3-5 grams) is what you need. I get crazy pumps when I use those and couple it with 25-40 grams of karbolyn painful pumps! All American EFX Rep
