Referring to Kwan? I don't follow his other YT channels, but the whole podcast to me had no flow. Always interrupted each other with Asian jokes, weird sound effects, etc. There's always that on some scale with this podcast and I don't mind it but it felt a little overdone on this particular one.

the fuk? Maybe you have a really inactive VMO and suuuper tight IT band/lateral quads... not really sure what else would cause your knee cap to become chronically twisted. Likely goes back to biomechanics in relation to your squat form. Do glute med/vmo activation exercises and mash the **** out of your IT band/quad, if you don't already that is.

Kneecap is tilted, not twisted. Sorry.
. Honestly I don't know because this doc sucks. Ive seen him twice and have only met him face to face for a total of 10 minutes, and that was all sitting down.

That basically explains what he told me the issue was that he explained in more than 3 words.

And it's not a squat form issue.
https://instagram.com/p/3m5Bl3jSDX/
That's my 525 squat from my last meet (2 weeks after my first wrapped meet). It's my left knee that's the issue, and it tracks fine with wraps.
I dislocated that knee about 15 years ago playing football and it never healed right, and I'm deformed slightly being pigeon toed. My knees point outward when my feet are straight (tibial torsion).
Although I guess I should say my squat form without wraps tends to be effected more by knee pain than my knee pain affecting my squats. Wraps it's the only way I really squat heavy anymore because if I don't, my hips shoot back and I good morning everything to protect my knees.Last edited by whitessp; 08-12-2015 at 03:56 AM.

I actually considered buying one of his old suits a few years back. Then I thought about it and realized it was a stupid idea for me to try to get into that.

A home gym may be what you have to do. DO NOT let your results be the product of an environment you can change. I went through this the other day at the gym. There are 3 squat racks at the gym. 2 are good for actually squatting and one is good for people who are taller and are just gonna do some knee bends or some ****. It's the rack below and it sucks because the safeties are fixed and cover my hip crease so videoing does no good. Also it's facing a mirror and it's right up against the wall. Worst possible scenario for me as far as squatting goes.
Only choice I had. I had to squat. Make the best with what you have and I promise you can hit a 4 plate bench. It's all about your attitude.1708 total @220 Raw
Improve my total every time I step on the platform.

Home gym is the best option. Building a good one is a fun hobby all unto itself as well.

100% agreed. Home gym is the best ever. No waiting for *******s taking up all the racks or benches, no listening to ****ty music, nobody telling you you're gonna hurt yourself if you keep squatting down that low or actually touching a bench press to your chest.

My gym also has 3 squat racks, however, 2 are like this picture (also facing a mirror) and only 1 is good for squatting. I refuse to squat in the ****ty ones. I've waited almost an hour sometimes before I can get into the good squat rack. Now I just changed my schedule and squat on Sundays because its basically empty and I can take the rack for well over an hour without any interference.

Fam, any of you shorts wearing brahs out there found a good pair to squat in that won't leave bruising on your quads or split in the ass?
Been using some chitty adidas ones but the fabric tends to bunch up and either leave bruising or rip in the ass, not such a big problem working out at home, but pain in the ass having to buy new pairs every month.

I found something near my place of work ( I commute ~1.5 hours out of town) so I can at least bench normally once every other week or so. The plan is just to do a ton of feet up work and floor press when I can't get out there. At least one of the gyms has decent squat racks, so I'm not screwed there.
I'm probably going to start getting a home gym together piece by piece. Figured I'd start with a dl bar and then just lookout for plates and chit on Craigslisttraining log

Great 5-hour seminar video from Dave Tate back in 2000: http://www.elitefts.com/education/th...-full-version/

After seeing a hard workout you may want to complain and want others to pity you for the work you have to do. Your mom will pity you. Your girl will pity you. I may pity you, but your competition will not pity you. They will step on you, walk over you and spit on you. Boris Sheiko

The sticking point on my squat is an inch out of the bottom, and on deadlifts, it won't come off the floor.
What assistance exercises do you reccomend?
