Hopefully no riots in NY. I have lots of family in Staten Island.

That's fked up, all over a minor charge of selling "untaxed cigarettes"
For whatever reason the cop felt the need to subdue him instead of sitting there talking it out with him. Not sure of the circumstances exactly.
I believe the problem is with the protocol the cop is forced to follow and abide by, not necessarily the cop himself. Although there were multiple involved in subduing him.
The video is graphic as fk, I can't believe these are the steps to arresting someone and handling the situation.

Don't necessarily agree with this... I don't think it was the chokehold that was the issue here, but more 5 people sitting on top of him. That "chokehold" isn't a ****ing chokehold.
At the end of the day if he hadn't resisted arrested, and just done as instructed he'd still be alive today.Fantasy Football Team (1ppr) - http://i.imgur.com/o4i4xs3.png

Uh...I've seen the video... he was under arrest, and he resisted the arrest before any choke hold came up. At least be consistent and accurate, man.
He said "don't touch me" when they were arresting him and he started fighting. He started the altercation, so be fair about that.
Furthermore, the "chokehold" wasn't a choke hold lol.August 2023:

Here is how you avoid problems with police:
-don't run away from them
-don't punch them
-don't suddenly reach for your pockets unless told
-follow their directions
If you disagree with something they're doing, fight it in court, not in the streets.

This.
Cop in the Garner case should've at least been indicted.
Brown was a thug who committed strong arm robbery and assaulted a police officer. His actions led to his demise at the hands of a police officer who was acting in self defense.
Garner who was not aggressive was taken down and out with an illegal procedure by a bunch of cops who were there in the first place because he was suspected of selling untaxed cigarettes.

No, him resisting being cuffed warrants a takedown. Nothing wrong with that. If he keeps resisting, of course cops are going to sit on top of him. It's standard operating procedure to hold them down.
Why don't you just call it CPR? Do you think it makes it sound fancier? lolAugust 2023:
