Ok so I saw another miscer post a thread yesterday asking if we were "Mirin his cut" so I open it up and its an amazing transformation he made on his cut from the start of summer until now. Here are his pics
This week/today ~212lbs:
And every time I ever cut I cant seem to make anywhere near that progress, so what is it I am doing wrong? any advice on what I need to do different? The first pics are from February the second (current pics, will have to be in second post as I con only post 8 images at a time) are from earlier this week I posted them in the body fat percentage thread.
current macros and stats are
5'10" about 185lbs
cals-2300
carbs-230g
fat-77g
protein-173g
I do Jasons 5x5 M,W,F and also go outside and do and a few circuits of Tire Flips,Sledge Hammer on tire,Jump through Tire, and Hill Sprints other than that I work at bestbuy so I am on my feet 8 hours a day walking around the store

not shabby at all, Rosky!
the other guy already had a ton of muscle mass underneath that layer of fat, his muscles were relaxed and he was probably bloated on carbs. i'm not saying he did this, but if he took those pics for a transformation contest with a monetary reward he might have been motivated to stay out of the gym for a bit to allow his muscles to atrophy a tiny bit and get rid of any temporary pump in his muscles. his muscles were revealed after he shed the fat, he continued to hit heavy weights, he had a pump in his muscles in the after and he's flexing.
^i had this window open and stepped away for too long. i didn't see Kure's response.Last edited by caprica6; 08-02-2014 at 05:45 PM.

Did you see that guy's LBM? It must be higher than yours, but your progress looks good to me, keep cutting and see what you got under that fat.
"The Iron never lies to you. You can walk outside and listen to all kinds of talk, get told that you're a god or a total bastard. The Iron will always kick you the real deal. The Iron is the great reference point, the all-knowing perspective giver. Always there like a beacon in the pitch black. I have found the Iron to be my greatest friend. It never freaks out on me, never runs. Friends may come and go. But two hundred pounds is always two hundred pounds."

It's just a matter of how much lean mass you have and how fat and bloated you got at the end of your bulk.
If you dirty bulk and get super bloated it's hides how much muscle you actually got and when you cut you look shredded.
And that guy looks pretty damn bloated + pushing his stomach out and slightly hunched over in his before pics which makes it even worse + horrible lighting.
The after pics he got a good pump, flexing and decent lighting. Not saying he didn't do a bad job (he did a awesome job) but it's easy to make before pics look reeeeally bad.
For instance my last cut:
Terrible lighting, so absolutely no definition:
More realistic before pic with decent lighting:
3/4th into my cut with excellent lighting:
I could have made the before pics even worse by getting way more bloating and no pump.
All pics are relaxed, could have made it more impressive with not flexing in the before and flexing in the after, but that wasn't my goal.My story going from obese to fit while battling daily chronic headaches:

I want to thank you all for replying, all your answers make me feel better about how I look and help me not get so discouraged when I see I still have more to go before I get that lean, but its nice knowing I am on the right track. reps to all
if you guys could guess how much my body fat% is and an estimate of how many more lbs I have to lose to get to my goal of about 9-10% body fat percentage. I guessed about 10-15 more lbs that would put me roughly about 170-175lbs at my 5'10" But I'm afraid I could be undershooting so any opinion is appreciated

I'm going to give you some great advice, stop caring about what others have done or are doing and just worry about yourself. As long as you improve yourself who cares about what the next guy is doing.
"Everyone thinks they're on their way to single digit body fat as soon as they see a blurry four-pack in the right lighting.Your final body weight at 5-6% will be a lot less than what you think.Talk to me again when you get in contest shape." I'd be willing to say that 95% of people on this forum accomplish nothing in years, don't be one of those people. It's sad, they seem to have the knowledge many don't but can't utilize it.

Yeah just be glad you didn't lose over 100 lbs just to look like a smaller version of a sloppy fatass!!!
We all have unique problems. Like th3pwn3r said, just worry about improving yourself. You've already made great progress. Think about if you keep that level of progress for the next 3 years what will you look like? I bet you'd look pretty damn good!Started 2013: 450 lbs
Success 2014: 270 lbs
Failure 2015-2016: 375 lbs
