Do 14" arms look attractive on a 5' 10" guy? I need to lose about 25 more pounds before I get to 10% to 14% body fat. I think I am about 25% body fat now. Will I look skinny and unattractive after I loose weight? I know that I'm going to lose a few pounds of muscle with the fat, but I'll gain it back a few weeks after I'm done cutting with the power of muscle memory.
Also, my pecs are my biggest upper body muscles in comparison to my arms, back and shoulders, and my biggest muscles are my calves.
In addition to that, my back and chest, and shoulders are overdeveloped compared to my arms, because my arms and legs are my weakest points, with the exception of my calves. I regret not working out my arms more frequently, because they would always recover faster than my back, shoulders, and chest, and I didn't pay much attention to my arms until now. My pecs are most likely my biggest muscles because about 4 months after I first started lifting, I started working out my pecs more than any other muscles, because they're my favorite ones with my traps in second, shoulders in third, and lats in fourth.

I had to lose weight in the fifth grade before because I was seriously obese. I lost 60 pounds in total in fifth grade, and my pediatrician didn't tell me that I shouldn't have after I did. From my research I learned that after fasting the body releases more HGH than usual to make up for it. I know a few anorexic people in my school who are still growing from year to year, even on a very low calorie diet. There are even people in third world countries who have grown up in very severe conditions and they look normal now and aren't midgets or severely skinny. Being in a caloric deficit might delay the rate of growth, but a person should be able to recover from most of it, if not all.
I am currently cutting out 500 calories per day for two days before a refeed so I can still grow a little, and to make it easier to recover.Last edited by maximilian2000X; 07-16-2014 at 08:41 PM.

Don't take this in a bad way. You are 14 years old, your research might be very flawed.
I for one has never seen a single well known coach/Science guy promote people under 18 cutting unless they are obese, or just way too fat.
You're still growing, if you manage to sort your eating habits, and train hard, then you can easily lose fat and gain muscle at the same time.Any post I make should not be taken seriously.

OP, you're still growing... the fact you're worrying about HGH levels while you are in puberty is nonsense. Your T levels are off the charts.
Hit the gym with a good routine, eat your fill, stop worrying about counting calories or cutting. Right now would be the best time to build your muscle base that will last you for the rest of your life. Worry about weight loss and fat when you're done growing in a few years.
Its sad to see the inferiority of teenage women and their "fat" image starting to bleed over into the male teenage populace.
Also, this gave me a solid chuckle. Thanks for that.5/3/1 BBB V2 LOG: forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=163430781

Even if when I'm done with growing and I'm half an inch shorter than I could of been, what major consequence would that have on my health? From the time of Hunter Gatherers all the way until a couple centuries ago, food was very scarce and people where very short, but now we have easy access to food so we've evolved to being taller.

First off, you aren't understanding that growing isn't just height here Chief... Its everything INCLUDING the size of your arms that you started this thread about. Regardless of the 10th grade science that you're trying to throw at everyone concerning human evolution in regards to height...
The people posting here are trying to tell you to take advantage of the years when your body is going through the most changes, and your hormones are off the charts to your advantage. Take the advice of other people who are giving you great pieces of wisdom...
...or don't, throw some more national geographic references and stay smaller (as in not as strong, not as thick, not as yoked... stay puny and pudgy). Clearly those hunter gatherers knew what they needed to do to get bigger arms.5/3/1 BBB V2 LOG: forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=163430781

This was definitely the biggest mistake I've ever made in my life and the biggest mistake that I am ever going to make in my life. I've lost around 2-3 inches of growth due to me trying to lose weight like crazy for about 3 months in 6th grade and from between January 2014, and August 2014. I've finally noticed the height difference after I came back from summer break in August and was 2 inches shorter than the tallest person in the grade who is currently 6'1 and who was previously shorter than me at the beginning of 7th grade. I would purposely skip breakfast, lunch, and sometimes even dinner in order to lose weight and I would also go and throw up at a toilet so that I could eat just to fill me up for half an hour so that I could still eat some food and lose weight and now I have to pay the price for it. Kudos to my parents for not doing anything to stop me, not even talking to me about my problem. And no, I am not a late bloomer, I don't even have a visible mustache yet and even people who do have coarse, thick mustaches with thick eyebrows and other very masculine facial features like masculine jaws who are clearly early bloomers have out-grown me. I wish that I could go back in time and yell at myself not to cut and lose weight because it would stunt my growth.

Jesus Kid, SRS your balls drop yet? Would, could of should of. What could of been. Guess what you came to a place of knowledge, this whole board is dedicated to getting bigger and stronger. Most of the guys on here trying to help you out are those guys when you see in public you call them jacked. Do us a favor sit down, shut up and listen. If you are concerned about getting in a debate about Hunter Gathers and the miracles of irrigation and modern day farming and ranching this is the wrong place for you. But if you want to learn with a little sweet blood and tears to become that swole or jacked dude, you come to the right place. The basic principles of getting bigger are easy, EAT, LIFT AND SLEEP. Nothing more nothing less.
