I think that the main reason that splits arent doing well is that people have such a huge rotation of frags already that they dont need to experiment as much. I havent bought anything new for a while now for that reason. It does get very expensive and with all my candle purchases there is less time for new frags.

Tried Armani's Oud Royal yesterday and it was really good. It has some similarities to their Myrrhe Imperiale. Definitely worth checking out. Armani does oud and middle eastern incense (Amouage-type as opposed to CdG's type) probably better than any other niche house imo
I also recently tried that Atelier Gold Leather and it was okay - I didn't like it that much for myself, but worth checking out for guys who really love TL and want to try a different take on a similar leather note.

Had a very hard time deciding what is my fall/winter cologne would be
Decided to go with the Dior Homme Intense
Now looking for a cologne to keep in the car..
Something casual, versatile and clean.. Maybe something like fierce!
The last one I used was the Mont Blanc Legend intense
Not Bleu, YSL..
Prefered notes: Spices, Wood, Amber and Musk

went to bloomingdales on saturday with my lady and got loaded up on TF samples. lady gave me 4 of those cards with vials of the new oud wood, 3 cafe rose and 1 oud fleur along with 3 4ml samples of TV, costa azzura and rive d'ambre. also bought 200ml (thats right *******s, 200ml) of YSL Lhomme parfum intense for $130 - a 10% off coupon I had. 100ml was $100 and the 200ml was on sale for $130 for whatever reason. not sure if anyone has sniffed it yet but it is amazing, like lhomme on steroids + a honey note. she also gave me 2 of the travel samples of la nuit / lhomme that look to be about 12-15ml*Misc.
