You should make your sister buy generic brand ice cream for them and tell them that "it's this or nothing". Those kids are being raised wrong. That habit will extend to every facet of their life.

"You eat at that restaurant?"

"Oh...you wear that brand of clothes?"

"Your family lives in a town house?"

"You drive that car?"

They need to be starved out just for a day or two with the only option to eat is store brand and they should also be made to either wear second hand goodwill clothes or Costco brand clothes.

I spent my whole childhood eating the cheap brands. Just so they could save what... $10 off of the total bill. They sacrificed quality to save a miniscule amount of money which would then be wasted on something as stupid as some ornament or picture for the wall. And yet still she barely had enough for milk and bread 3 days before payday every single week. Typical poor people mindset.

Since I've become an adult, food is the #1 thing I spend money on. I think it's more important than anything in making your life enjoyable. If someone handed me lower-quality junk food, I would deny it because if I'm going to eat something bad for me I may as well eat something THAT ****ING TASTES GOOD. That's the whole point of junk food.
