10 pages of Yuengling, Blue Moon with orange slices, Guinness, etc. But this is the only beer thread to survive longer than a week. Seems like there is a daily beer thread in the misc that doesn't even make it to page 2. Probably the lack of dicks is why it isn't popular enough.

Technically a lighter version of English Barleywine, but less attenuated/higher mash temps. But in reality there are plenty that are made in the same gravity realm of the English barleywine. More "stale" type flavors acceptable due to long bulk aging(leather/sherry). More rich darker malt/even light chocolate notes acceptable(roasted character should not be the prominent character). BJCP should clear it up: http://www.bjcp.org/2008styles/style19.php

not so. Although I do appreciate the greater exclusivity here, following the cologne crew for the first 8 or so parts (2400+ pages) i'd say less than .01% were sex panther jokes and axe spray jokes. And they have a large and intricate decanting system there where people split and sell and trade cologne to each other.
being said I don't ever want this to move cuz it's in the right place but there are solid crews that get tenfold the traffic outside of here, you just need a group who won't put up w/trolls and a resident mod to back it upSMBC

well if a full/normal sized niche (read craft) beer cost you $300 but it was actually of the quality that separated it from the regular stuff would you not be willing to buy a sample for a tenth the cost or less?
I have a few hundred dollars of 10 ml decants of nice cologne, if that crew didn't exist I'd either risk it and pay more w/the potential of getting toilet water, or I'd have to spend thousands of dollars to get a full bottle of something I may hate
go check em out if you haven't. stand up crew w/an ever present mod or two.SMBC

You're a texite. Sauce isn't allowed in texite.
Nice. I like to use the juice type drippings (with the fat scooped out) as sauce and a vinegar base coleslaw on top. There's a taco food truck in the area that uses a light vinegar slaw on their tacos and it's phenomenal.
This.
PS- today is the official re-release of Allagash returning to my area of NY. Free tasting at my favorite store and bourbon barrel Black and Golden Brett be present. Helllzzzz yess. So allagash is now available to you fuks that traaaeed with me.Official Supp. Misc Beer Policeman

James Bean is my favorite Allagash brew but unfortunately it's draught only.

I need to step my Brett game up. Been venturing into saisons lately and they haven't tasted like an infected IPA. Progress!
