Just looked through the old NoFap thread and I just want to be sure it's not all broscience. I can't find any concrete evidence that going on a nofap streak really makes things better for you, I think it's just a placebo on the brain. Is it all just broscience or is there real evidence?

Works for me. Strength shoots up and I become dryer looking. No clue if this is a direct correlation from no fap or being gluten free.
I can't have gluten as it bloats the fwark out of me. Also makes me want to fap. No clue why, but that's my broscience.
Give it a try for a week. You will probably feel better.Deadlift-600....620

Placebo is real. If you think it will develop better test levels, it probably will. It's not that simple, but look at all the placebo effect study out there. There are placebo's with back/knee surgery's where all they do is make an incision with nothing else, and the people gloriously recover faster than those that had actual surgery.

Heres what I think:
Fapping every day or more - Not good
Fapping once every 3-7 days - Best
Fapping less than once a week - Not good
Having more sexual activity increases your testosterone, thus fapping is good. Just don't do it EVERY day, also don't do it at night or right before your workout.
Another thing: Don't fap to porn. A lot of the problems people have that they think are associated with masturbating are caused by porn. Porn ****s with your brain: "men who use porn become controlling, highly introverted, have high anxiety, narcissistic, curious, have low self-esteem, depressed, dissociative, distractible" (*****://theresurgence.com/2011/11/19/7-negative-effects-of-porn)
^^ I find this to be true
ALSO, for everyone saying Nofap doesn't work, it doesn't does have positive effects. Don't say it doesnt work if you havent tried it/have failed at it.
I just think going on no fap for over a week or two is unproductive

Thanks for all the replies, but to the placebo people I just thought of something. Placebos are only actually placebos if you don't know what is going on. Like the classic sugar pill medicine theory (where you give a control group the real medicine and an experimental group sugar pills, while telling both groups they are having medicine) it only works if you aren't aware right? So, if most people are aware that nofap doesn't have concrete results and may not be right, how are some people still getting benefits? For example, with the sugar pill, when people find out its a sugar pill and no longer think its medicine they know the pills will probably not work. Since there's no concrete evidence to the nofap, and (I think) the people who say no fap works for them know that there's nothing proven about it, that must mean that there is some truth to the idea right?
tl;dr Nofap might not be all broscience because some people still see results from it when they've already been told its just broscience

Blood tests proved that testosterone doesn't get effected at all in anyway.
But after 7 days of no fap your motivation and energy will be at a climax. But after that you'll get depression in some way. But if you go a full 90 days or maybe less without looking at any kind of porn or faping or edging. It's like constantly being on day 7. I know this from expirence.
It's definatly worth it if you can make it there.I'm so jdm my bed springs are tein

personally, i feel soo much more confident and motivated to do stuff if i dont fap. Channeling all your pent up sexual energy you get from not fapping into other things can be a really powerful tool. Placebo or not, it definitely can have benefits. also porn definitely fuks you up, dont mess with that chit.
