What ??? The moon isn't out at night, it goes in phases dude. Plus... how would you see the damn thing unless it's right on the horizon of your window?
And what are the lights from the plane's wings going to reflect off, the ground? The point is, there's no way to get you bearings looking out a small plane window into near blackness, especially if you're not even trying to.

Boeing expert just said now a days there is a sattelite phone in the cockpit. And the likelyhood of a complete electronic failure in the 777 is extremely unlikely .

They crashed because one of the pilots kept trying to make the plane climb without realising they were in the stall. If it was as simple as looking out the window in stormy conditions at night to gauge the situation of the plane then he wouldn't have continued to raise the nose. Sure the passengers felt they were in trouble but not that they were necessarily about to die

even if the plane lost ALL power, the fact is that they still passed over land at an altitude below civilian radar. Passenger phones would have worked in that case, unless we're to assume that there was decompression and all the passengers were knocked out. The fact that the plane flew properly for at least 350 miles, after making a severe turn to the west, suggests that pilots were at least awake at the time of heading change, and may well have been awake far later. At night they would still be able to see the water due to the reflection of the moon, and they would also be able to see the land below. Additionally, 777's certainly have basic instruments that work in case of a power loss, so even though pilots are TRAINED to fly VFR, there's no reason they would have to do so on this kind of a plane even with loss of power.

u wot m8's? there's kuala lumpur and theres the strait. you cant just turn a plane around like a car. plus he probably had to land from the south. it makes perfect sense.
also, for ppl talking about moonlight. it was a moonless night of the crash

most likely places i think the plane could be based on where it has been spotted:
1. Indonesia
2. Australia
3. Sri Lanka/India
4. an island such as the Maldives or Reunion
5. Madagascar

The 777 is one of the most high-tech airliners today. None of this makes any sense.

If it was hijacked it would have been flown to Konarak Airport, it's not like those *******s would tell us.
