Hey, my previous thread got deleted..idk why.
Anyways, I have 2 weeks til the regional meet, 4 til the state meet, and 5 til the national meet.
I am pressed for time, and I am looking for a program.
My stats are in my signature and my bodyweight is at 136lbs right now, I will cut below 132 for competition.
I believe that smolov jr would be the best for me at this point.. I basically need to pick my squat and deadlift up by combined total of 100lbs.
My bench should go up really well because I just acquired a shirt.
I am not a beginner at lifting, and my form is good. So please dont recommend ss 5x5 or something..
I ran 2 cycles of madcows already a couple of months ago..
IF there is any other program OR advice you'd recommend, let me know, thanks!

If I was in your situation: I'd hit my openers for 3 reps on squat/bench and 2 reps on deadlift this week and then take next week off. I'd want at least 5 days or a week off after the first meet, train light for a day or two then rest until the second meet. Then I'd be taking the week off after the second meet before the third meet. Three meets in 5 weeks is going to take a lot out of you and you're going to need to be careful to not be destroyed by the time the 3rd meet ends.
I try to avoid doing two meets close together. You are doing three meets close together. I'd say only do the 1st and the 3rd meets personally. Then you'd have around a 10 day window to train hard between the two meets and improve your numbers. To answer your question in the title. No. If you want to do all three meets then starting smolov jr or any high volume training style is just too high of an injury risk in my opinion, until after the national meet. The other option to enable you to train hard is using at least one of the first two meets as practice and only going all out at the final meet.440/365/595 @ 165

First of all, Thanks a lot for the reply! Sorry I couldnt reply any earlier!
The thing you mentioned in the beginning is exactly what I been doing for all of my past meets.
Yea, I agree it is gonna take a lot out of me, but I think I can handle it.
I have to do the first and second meet, they are the most important to me. The first meet will determine if I can do the second meet. The third meet (nationals) isn't too important because I don't really have too good of a chance of winning first. So I'm just lifting that meet for a fun experience.
So, you say to NOT do smolov jr? Okay, your reasoning makes perfect sense! It's just that I need to pick up a good 100lbs total...18 years old. Powerlifter.

At 2 weeks out, you don't really have time to go on a program like Smolov Jr. or anything else. You really only have 1 week of solid training left and then 1 week of light/recovery days to be ready. Do something like what Limitless said. Get heavy weights on your back and in your hands to get acclimated with it so you are ready for your meet. 6x6 is not gonna do that. Hitting your opener for reps or hitting your 2nd attempt for a single is what is gonna do that.

Would not go into so many meets as beginner as your body will get overtaxed from peaking so many times but it is your call. Anyway smolov jr is pretty intense, you might have to forgo ur dl if you are focusing on squats. All the best.

Thanks guys, I will not do smolov. Instead I take a rest next week and go from there.
Why do y'all insist that I am a beginner when I already mentioned repeatedly that I am not?
And, well, it is pointless to go to the regional meet, and advance to state, but NOT participate in state, am i right?
And, as previously stated, Nationals isnt that important to me because I have no chance of winning it.18 years old. Powerlifter.

so much this. it doesn't matter how much time you have put in at the weight room, it matters what you know to a certain extent too. you clearly have a lot to learn, and there is NOTHING wrong with that, but don't act like you're all high and mighty and too good for a 5x5 when you are somehow expecting to add 200+ pounds to your total in a matter of weeks
your post screams beginner and i can tell that regardless of if i "personally know you" or not. just sayin.
