I'm a vegetarian and I'm having a hard time increasing my protein intake. I'm eating tofu and chickpeas and I take about 40g of whey protein powder a day but I'm still not getting enough protein.
Does anyone have any quick simple vegetarian meal ideas or some other ideas for protein I can have through the day?
I'm also a busy university student and I need some quick simple ideas.
Hope you can help

So how much are you actually taking? It seems like you're getting at least 70g... including the powder. which is pretty good and above normal dietary recommendations of about 50g. Docs recommend approx .75g/kg normal weight. in protein / day (normal weight depending on height).
Body Fortress only recommends about 100-120g for women by the way who are really training. Their pretty good meal plan -- bodyfortress.com/energy-and-toning-meal-plan-for-woman/
List of protein in foods for everyone --healthaliciousness.com/articles/foods-highest-in-protein.php
I do vegan fasts a lot, and I stick with black beans / other beans / rice / onions, or peanut butter / nuts / almonds -- they are really easy to make and take to go if needed.
Good luck!

You can cook really easily with greek yogurt as most substitutes, black beans are easy to sneak into baking (Google black bean brownies), cottage cheese, tempeh, qunioa, tofu (plain and dessert tofu is easy to sneak into smoothies), make your own trail mix with assorted nuts and chia seeds and dried apricots(suprising source of protein), soy milk. hopefully that helped!
