this would be so fuking cool.
what I would do is take the lower level bedroom, turn it into more of an office/closet space, but use the overhead loft as my main sleeping area. Also, would make the back wall just completely windows and doors to maximize light/outdoor air through screens.

Probably gonna retire to the mountains, all I need is a well and septic tank. Well is most expensive it could take a few deep test drills before you hit water. From there I could build the rest. Hopefully one day wireless truely covers the country, can power a few lamps, a fridge and a laptop off solar, get wifi and live in 500-600sqft hand crafted house w/ shed. I'd probably want more power just for tools and a shed/garage. Keep 1000/month income or so from retirement to fund the odd trip to town for gas for ATVs, food.

I actually just started watching this documentary about people living in tiny homes and apartments. Most of them are approx 100 sq ft which is mindblowing to me how it's possible to live in. I get kind of claustrophobic just looking at some of these "homes"
