I've just been throwing a ~3g scoop of it in with a ~3g scoop of creatine and some beta alanine as a daily maintenance supplement. I can't imagine splitting the dose is that important... right?

I believe 1.25 before and 1.25 after workout.

So I finally did a bit of reading through this thread and have turned around on my opinion of Betaine - my former pinion being partially formed by the info presented by Examine.com which was commented on 1 page previous. It seems like a very solid and cost effective supplement. That said I was wondering if someone could address something for me:
I have looked into MT Betaine and while it is far from expensive, I have found it online in bulk for less the half the price. The major difference is the lack of nitrates in the bulk powder. I have never used nitrates before (that I am aware of) and I was wondering if the amount provided in MT Betaine is enough to make a real benefit. Is the addition of the added nitrates worth the added cost?I'm the clever one, you're the potato one.

They are Betaine Nitrate, so you get the benefits of betaine as described in this thread and potentially the benefits of nitrates http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4008816/. Depends on how high you want to dose betaine in order to determine how cost efficient it is.

FWIW, I took 6-6.5g at once, preworkout, with no issues. All just from stacking STIMino, Green Mag and White Pump. I did have a bowl of cereal near dosing.
