Unhappy Low testosterone was the answer! Sad story:(((

    Hi guyz,

I wanted to share my story and see if anyone has any similar experience...

I am 27 yo and I have been lifting for the past 2 years, and was making some decent progress. I was up to 405 lbs on the deadlift and I looked the best I have in years until the last 6 months or so..Initially I had experienced great levels of energy and improved well-being when I started going to the gym. 6 moths ago, I was noticing unusual fatigue slowly creeping. I was tired when I got back from the gym and all I wanted to do is eat and sleep. I was ok waking up the next day but in the course of the day, I started feeling very tired.

I though, well, maybe I am too fat (I had BF of around 20% then) and I should lose more weight. I went on a diet and was down to 12%. Still felt very strangely tired. I gained the weight back slowly with no noticable difference.

Soon after that, I started losing my erections during sex. I though I must be stressed or overworked, so I took a 2 week vacation off from work and the gym. I failed to even have morning erections for those 2 weeks. I have since tried everything...manipulated food, exercise, supplements, everything I could... Nothing worked. I was lost for an answer.

I finally went to a doctor and my physical was normal. He ordered some labs and stuff and he said my thyroid, liver, etc...was all normal. My testosterone levels was just below 300..He said that is lowish but still normal.

In the last month, it just seemed to be getting worse. I reached a level now that I quit going to the gym altogether...I feel pathetically tired starting from mid-day. I cannot have an erection no matter what I do. I have not had sex or masturbated for last 3 months. My GF was very patient at the beginning but then left me thinking that I am not attracted to her....I am, or was, but I just can not even get it up watching porn.
The strange thing is I don't feel depressed. I have experienced some sort of depression in high school and was treated with behavioral and support therapy (no medications). This feels somewhat different...I am ok waking up in the morning and don't feel hopeless..I feel like if I had energy I would definitely enjoy lifting, sex, and life...I just run out of energy doing anything..

I went and had labs checked again and my testosterone came back even lower ( around 250 ). Everything else was normal. TSH/LH/FSH, etc....I just had a brain MRI and that was normal too. My doctor said there is no pathologic condition that could be detected...He refused to prescribe me any medications saying that I am still young and could just genetically be on the lower end of normal...he also said my symptoms were very nonspecific.

I don't know much about medicine, but I feel like a 27 year old not having erections and feeling tired like **** all day is not normal. I honestly don't want to live my life like this. I have a good job and a lot to look forward to otherwise...but I just might have to put an end to if it continues to be like this.

Anybody had a similar experience and was able to find a solution?? I would appreciate your help

Talk to him about it again, say you have no energy. Explain it and ask if you can get on some sort of TrT replacement.
If he still does not, find a new doctor.

Im no doctor but sounds like a mixture of low test, depression and a psychological issue. Have you met with a pshcyologist to see if that helps? or taken any test booster sups? My wife works in a medical field that does test shots of some kind generally for older men so theres things out there to possibly help.

How did your symptoms feel before and after? Was there a difference between shot and gel?

I think my LH was around 5 and FSH around 7

There's nothing more important than quality of life.. That's why you should be seeking a new doctor. TRT isn't for the strength gains and such, but more for the improvement in quality of life.
