Before i started lifting i was skinny fat addicted to weed and alcohol, took one good look at my self when i was 17 and vowed to change my life forever, started weight traning. I used to get made fun of by my family and friends because ofvthe decision i took to improve my self mentally and physically . 2-3 years later their coming to me for advice my friends and some of my family memebers told me they did not wanna be left behind by seeing the results that im getting.
I see bodybuilding as a way to meditate and channel your thoughts into action

I always just think if I don't go to the gym for an hour or so 5-6 days a week what else would I be doing in that time. I rather be in the gym improving myself instead of being at home on my laptop or watching tv, only other hobby I have is basketball and struggle to play with a knee injury which Im rehabbing in the gym so yeah.

In on "my life is a lie" thread. Truth I've learned is that no one but sloots really care about your muscles and will treat you any different. Difference is, you THINK they will, and you'll be more confident. But is the money and time spent on it really worth it? YOLO after all. I would recommend staying natty and lifting just to keep low BF% and not look like a wimpy pole. No sups, no excessive macro counting.

I don't lift as a bodybuilder so this claim doesn't apply to me.
3x a week. can get my **** done in an hour if I really needed to and some days I do. I feel happier now than I did before. Made me that much stronger in my athletics too. The benefit of feeling healthier and strong is great. Plus when I was 160 pounds @ my height, I felt sick, all I did was drink soda all day, went through two 2 liter orange sodas a day and only ate McDonalds and fast food. Only reason why I wasn't fat was because I rode a bmx bike everywhere and walked everywhere, + was a wrestler and did track.

Jesus christ some of you fuks are retarded as ****. It is a fuking hobby YOU do because YOU enjoy it. If YOU don't enjoy it then quit. You do realize you could replace your stupid fuking mindset with any hobby right?
brb I can't believe this is how my life turned out, spending hours upon hours in my room and making sure I am getting all my notes right before worrying about other more important things in life, all for what? being able to play a guitar? pathetic, it's ****ing sad. Yes I attract more girls now but who givs a sh*t anyway, that skinny f*cker with a hot chick is stylin on ur ass and he doesn't even play guitar.

actually i'm at a point in my life where i'm secure because of lifting, I can walk around feeling good about myself as opposed to constantly thinking about how skinny I am and how I wish I was bigger.
just because you can't feel secure from lifting doesn't mean noone else can..

I said bodybuilding, not lifting 3 times a week like many of u retards keep saying
Bodybuilding to ME means doing everything as optimal as possible, gym 8 hours a week, counting macros, bulking/cutting cycles ect. That's why I said I wish I never started BODYBUILDING. Being healthy and just lifting is a completely different thing

I gym 4 days one week, 5 days the next on a rotating split, I don't count my macros, i lean bulk, i'm in the gym an hour per session tops and that's optimal.
most optimal natural body building routines only require you to work out 3 days a week..

If the lifestyle doesn't ADD something to your life then you're doing it wrong. If you do it right, you will look better, feel better, be healthier, be more confident, better social circle, better respect, more self respect, discipline, self worth, more sluts,
no less of anything. If you are anal about 8 meals a day, or feel incredibly guilty if you eat one bar of chocolate then you got problems bro.GO TEXANS!

"You know what, I'm not fat. I'm off-season. That's what you gotta be educated you people - science! You don't know science. I know science. I'm educated that I am off-season.
Some, about 70-80% bodybuilders like to get fat off-season so they can powerlift. I'm a powerlifter off-season. In contest I get ready for a bodybuilding show. I'm a /Bodybuilder Powerlifter."

some truth to it but everyone's gotta do what they gotta do.
Think you of the fact that a deaf person cannot hear. Then what deafness may we not all possess? ~ Dune
We need a new ideology with the core values of reason, honesty, science and secular progress over the older traditions of religion, superstition and dogmatic faith that have long defined humanity. We will never be free to progress and advance until the last stone from the last church is cast down onto the last priest. And every equivalent.
