Picked up Ben & Jerry's Cheesecake Brownie last night with low expectations. I just felt the need to try it since it was one of the few B&J flavors I hadn't scooped yet. It has been consistently rated as one of their worst offering, but I was pleasantly surprised when I dove in.
The cheesecake base isn't overpowering, but it still has a nice, subtle cheesecake flavor. What really makes this flavor work is the multitude of brownies in every bite. The combo of cheesecake and brownies is spot on, and I have to give this one a solid B despite it being such a simple flavor.Hoosier Crew

I just bought a pint of that flavor today. I was a bit disappointed. I didn't think the base was very tasty, although I have to say the huge peanut butter cups were awesome. I also got Cherry Garcia and I liked that flavor more.
I'd give peanut butter cup a 6/10, cherry garcia 8/10500lb deadlift crew

I had a Ciao Bella Sea Salt Caramel Square tonight. After seeing Chad's review of them and checking my Whole Foods last night, I decided to pick up a box to try.
It was pretty small for 250 calories, weighing in at 3.25 ounces. When I could get a taste of the ice cream by itself I could appreciate the smooth sea salt ice cream, which tasted great. However, when I took a bite that included the cookies (aka a normal bite), they overpowered the ice cream. Despite Chad's high score for this I would avoid this one, it is nothing special unfortunately.

Had a little over 1 serving left of my hand packed pint of C7LB so I decided to top that off. Personally love this flavor. Coconut flavor is very present and abundant throughout which is definitely what makes this a hit or miss for everybody. Only wish I had more :/
Then decided to fill the rest of my remaining calories with a couple flavors my mom brought home today. Not bad considering each was only 110 cal per serving. Was able to have 2 servings of each.

I think if you did some preparation and worked in some intermittent fasting you could do it without extreme discomfort. Those slow churned flavors he did are like 110cal a serv with 12 servs a container wouldn't be as dense as bnjs or something like that. The only thing I would consider is the coldness on your teeth and the sugar rush. I'd go with some warm water on the side to sip.
On that getting bigger status.

Just wondering, how quickly do you guys finish off a pint.
I feel like all these flavors are waiting to be eaten, but then all my calories are coming from ice cream for the most part past my basic protein sources. You guys have a massive amount of calories that you are taking in/ Do you guys find that ice cream fills you up? I am in the middle of ramping up my calories and seem to always be hungry still. If I eat a large amount of ice cream I get hungry pretty soon afterwards. If I eat "bro" food I tend to stay fuller a little longer.
Sorry for the non-ice cream picture related posted. Enjoy reading all the reviews though

Couldn't agree more! Would be awesome if B&J added C7LB into their selection of pints available in stores and not just a scoop shop exclusive. As for Edy's, they have some awesome flavors that I have soft spots for. (French silk, classic vanilla, caramel delight, chocolate chip/cookie dough) all solid and with the calories being so low sometimes it's great to enjoy a few extra servings!

I usually finish a pint in like 10-15 minutes lol. I eat ice cream shortly before going to bed so hunger isn't an issue for me. You don't need to sacrifice massive amounts of calories to enjoy some ice cream. But when I eat ice cream, it's usually over 1000 cals worth! It's not a big deal when you are taking in 3000+ cals a day like I do.

Whats with the huge disparity in serving sizes? Ex: Blue Bell Dutch Chocolate 1/2 cup or 74 grams, Talenti Peanut Butter Chocolate Pretzel 1/2 cup of 100 grams, BnJ's Vanilla Heath Bar 1/2 cup or 104 grams. Do they try and figure in the
mixins into the serving size? Anyway, a couple of quicky reviews...
Talenti Peanut Butter Chocolate Pretzel: Im not a huge peanut butter fan, but the peanut butter base was actually pretty tasty. The chocolate swirls help add a sweet component to the pb base. The chocolate covered pretzel pieces are
this flavors downfall. While some are crunchy and delicious, others are VERY mushy and unpleasant. With more consistent pretzel pieces, this flavor would have gotten a B. Score: C
BnJ Vanilla Heath Bar: When this flavor is at its best, its one of my favorites. When its at its worst, its just blah. Ill elaborate....When you get chunks of heath bar and that delicious, liquified caramel/heath essence, it is the sh*t. Then all of
a sudden, youre just scooping up plain, rather bland vanilla base with no mixins. Ive loved this flavor for years, but its just so inconstant, I might have to look elsewhere for my heath bar fix. Still, when its good, its great. Score: B-
