well today i switched my routine a little . usually i do sets of 3 when i bench on my heavy day and the sets go something like this
warm up set 135x8
warm up set 2 185x5
6x3 @ 215-225 depending on day
2x3 @ 185
well today i switched it to something like this
warm up set 135x10
185x10
195x8
205x6
225x4
245x2
245x1
well basically by the time i got too 205 i was barely able to get the reps and with 245 i had to go for sets of 1 which i could barely get. my max is 260 keep in mind but normally i can hit 245 for 2 reps without too much problem .. would the change to semi heavy for high weights wear me out more ? basically is this a normall occurence because of more reps ? if not how can i fix this . the reason i asked is this made the rest of my workout suck and kept me from pushing as heavy of weights as i usually do .
