Some of you are taking this too seriously; it's just a movie. On another note, a user implied that Watchmen is a bad film. Why do some people think that? I think it was amazing; it manages to flesh out all six of its main characters equally, and convey a story which revolves around deep, philosophical subject matter (e.g. nihilism, objective morality, sociopathy, subjective morality, etc). It is an amazing film, in my opinion.

Spiderman and Batman are more types of movies that you appreciate for the allegorical emotional depth. Its like a well crafted Oscar caliber drama that happens to feature popular superheroes.
Avengers are more like a simulated comic book experience where its cool because they stay obsessively true to pleasing the nerd core of comics instead of some blend and dont care about making it mainstream at the expense of the true fans. Which has payed of big time.
Both have different appeals in their own right. But to me if I had to choose the preferred/memorable movie going experience, I prefer catching those deep feels.
For example I cried deeply at the ending vignettes of Superman Returns and was in a deep trance for days after.

-Some people say good things come to those who wait, truth is, good things come to those who work..... who work later.....who work harder...... who are willing to go further than anyone else to get them. If you're waiting for good things to come to you, you'll be waiting for a pretty long time.
