I'd say yes, its a money pit for society as a whole. Taxpayers money being used to buy new police headquarters and upgraded technology to farther advance law enforcements reach. 40 years of the war on drugs and all hard drugs are now more pure and just as easily available, nothing has changed

But if you're on the other side of the fence its probably pretty good to work as LEO. America has a small fraction of the worlds population yet has almost 25% of all prisoners, that's a pretty good business option

Because it's an extrapolation of the freebasing concept, which has always been around with coke. You know how some people cook it on a spoon and smoke it? That's essentially crack. Different ways to reach the same goal.

Someone figued out how to cook crack and made it super cheap. I can't recall the guy's name off the top of my head but watched a documentary about a month ago on it.

Anyway, around the same time the CIA was trafficking ******* in to fund the Contras which made it even more available. This is widely known and was all over the news in the 80's. I know most of you weren't around back then but even in middle school we knew all about this because it was on the news everyday. CIA was also running guns to Iran at the same time.
