Can Anyone Verify if SAN Platinum Whey Isolate has the GMP Stamp

    Topic.

With all these topics on shady companies and shady label claims, I'm getting paranoid trying out companies I've never tried before.
LOL at these ****gs with no forearms, calves, and neck (not traps, but neck, two distinct muscles).

    Why not?

From what I've been reading, GMP means a product meets label claims, clean facility, quality control, and testing of the final products for potency, purity and authenticity. This is much better than not having a GMP stamp of approval or a certificate of inspection. Means a whole lot more than nothing.

All supplement companies / their contract manufacturers are required to follow the FDA's cGMP regulations now as it is. There is "official" cGMP Certified recognition through organizations like NSF and NNFA though.

I think all of SANs products have a GMP stamp http://sann.net/index.php/about/mission-statement

    Sweet!

All companies are required to follow cGMP regulations but many do not have that stamp or officially GMP certified. SAN has my business if their creme brulee ends up tasting at least a 7 out of 10.

The FDA does inspect manufacturing facilities so a lot of companies could use that same stamp as SAN but maybe don't.

Anyone can claim GMP. If a company is cGMP, it is definitely something they would put on their label because 1) it costs more to manufacture certified products, 2) it adds to label attractiveness to see that. No reason a company would be cGMP and NOT put it on the label

What ajerone is what I thought. GMP is "in house quality control" where as cGMP was regulated and inspected by the FDA. I could be completely wrong though. I could have swore I remember Des from Gaspari saying that in order to be cGMP you have to be subject to FDA inspections at anytime to maintain cGMP certification.

Everyone should be following the FDA's cGMP regulations and facilities are subject to their inspection now. Look at what just recently happened to USPLabs.

Ah good point. Lets be honest here though about USP. Jacob started selling that stuff out of his garage, he probably just expanded it.

SAN does not spike our protein. Moreover, the vast majority of our proteins are from glanbia, both concentrate and isolates, with every assurance that brings.

I know your proteins aren't spiked with individual essential amino acids (like the beastly glycine). My concern is actual protein grams meeting the label claims. I've been finding out that some proteins are not meeting such claims. Very risky to do business with many protein companies out there and I just wanted to know whether SAN is GMP stamped or not. Now that I know, I will be getting your creme brulee with my Hydrowhey next month.

SAN should just sell themselves to Glanbia. More profit right there. No longer need to make cheese just for the sole purpose of acquiring whey, since Glanbia produces tons of cheese, all the waste products of whey will be at their disposal.

Problem is, ON will then just fold up SAN. And all the products that makes SAN great will disappear. The more huge companies like Glanbia buy up smaller companies like SAN, the more they can dictate the price of whey, raws, etc. They will create a monopoly of the whey market, and when that happens. Everybody loses.

Whose to say that if Glanbia controlled 90% of whey production they just decided to increase the price of whey 10 fold? Who would stop them?

There are only a few companies that actually buy directly from Glanbia thats why I asked. Many buy from brokers that "source from Glanbia" like here http://trade.indiamart.com/details.mp?offer=4092424046)
    Thats where the problems arise

How will ON fold up SAN? ON =/= Glanbia. Glanbia owns both BSN and ON. ON has no say with BSN products, and both are still independent of one another.

Interesting. I'd be interested to know the companies that buy from these brokers. I can see looks of worries if that list was produced.
