Saint Seiya started before 1990 but finished in 1991 so I am counting it, plus it is pretty legit. Best 3 in the 90's would have to go to DB/DBZ, Saint Seiya, and HxH but if you watch HxH may as well watch the 2011 ongoing series as it keeps going while original stopped after the 2nd arc, while still being great by 199X standards.

Anyone playing Ninja Storm 3? I liked how generations was more of a pure fighter, but this fan service in this game isn't bad at all.

Started Full Metal Panic. Episode 3 atm, and its shaping up to be pretty good. Lol at the difference between 1990s-early 2000s amime vs late 2000s-2010+.
brb highschoolers actually look like they are in high school if not older
brb the females don't look like preschoolers

What order do I watch in? I have it my PTW list but no idea where to begin with the different series/movies.

So how does the Gundam series work? Is there some order I should watch, any I should just avoid?

All the ps3/x 360 naruto games were dissapointments for me. Loved the mix between fighter and fanservice in the Ultimate ninja games, especially number 3.
Both fav fighting games of mine. Blazblue needs an anime adaptation asap.

Gundam is divided up into specific universes and they are not linked to each other.
Universal Century
After Colony
Costmic Era (****gy time gundam)
Future Century
After War
Correct Century
Super Deformed
Anno Domini
Advanced Generation
If you are new to Gundam I would recommend watching Gundam 00 (Anno Domini) it is the most recent one for adults that most people enjoy. After that maybe Gundam Wing (After Colony) or Gundam X (After War). Each have their own timelines.

Yes, loved it. Watch them in order, though it's not completely important. They fall back on one another (talk or introduce characters that were relevant to the older series), but isn't completely relevant enough that you couldn't live without knowing them. I like the different anime styles to each one. The one series didn't even show what it was like in the game (though it was the worse of them, I still liked the idea).
I loved .hack/sign which is the first one. I believe it was definitely my favorite of all of them.
The last one in the series started off cool, but the ending was cool, and at the same time strange. I hated its ending, and at the same time I liked how it turned out.

edit: ^ niiiiceeee...never been to a large convention with cosplayers or anything, but yeah i get what you mean. i find it that i cringe at cosplays more often than not, which sucks considering the amount of effort people put into making them. i've always wanted to try cosplaying myself, to be honest.

If you are talking about liminality then it was done that way based on how they anime was released. When the first .hack game came out you got part of the anime with each volume. The anime was based on what was going on outside of the game for that volume. So if you just watched it and didn't play the game it may have seemed odd but if you played the game it made a lot more sense with the news/emails in the game.
It goes
.hack//sign - This takes place before the first series of the games. Sort of explains everything.
.hack//infection/mutation/outbreak/quarentine - these are the games but basically continue from .hack//sign
.hack//liminality - happens during the games I just mentioned. Each volume matches up with the order of the games.
.hack//gift - this is a 1 episode/movie type anime based on the ending of the .hack game/liminality
.hack//Legend of the Twilight - this isn't really related to any of the other .hack stuff basically uses chars from the first .hack series games
.hack//Roots - this follows up the last .hack game/liminality/gift. Takes place a few years later in "the world 2.0"
.hack//GU - this is the second set of .hack games also has a CGI animation of the games. This takes place RIGHT after roots and uses the main character for the roots anime.
.hack//GU Returner - this is a short movie with the characters from G.U. on one last mission
.hack//Quantum - this takes place few years after GU in a new version "the world R:X" with a new set of charcters
.hack//The Movie - also takes place in R:X.
Essentially theres a lot of filler you can go sign > roots > GU > Quantum and not miss anything. Also if you have access to I would highly suggest playing the .hack.//GU trilogy on ps2 after watching roots.
The .hack people are also in the process of making a new .hack game which is rumored to come with a new anime series.

Easily googled. Copied from Yahoo answers because that was how I found out the first time I watched it.
------------
* Sign, Legend of Twilight, & Roots are in the same setting & have their own storylines so they can be watched in any order. But I recommend watching them in their chronological release order (the ordered list at the bottom).
-Liminality OVA's should be watched right after Sign
-Gift OVA should be watched after Sign, LoTwilight, & Liminality
-Returner is the sequel to G.U. Trilogy & Roots
------------
Eventual Storyline & Chronological Order
*1. Sign
2. Liminality
*3. Legend of Twilight
4. Gift
*5. Roots
6. Trilogy - movie
7. Returner
My favorites in order are Sign, Quantum, then Legend of the Twilight Bracelet.
Liminality is strange, but worth the watch. It's up to you. You can really just skip it if you want to.
The newest one is Roots, which then follows the trilogy movie, and Returner (Also known as GU). I personally didn't like it. Great animation, and the storyline was far from believable. The main character will annoy you, but you'll like "almost" everyone else. Not going to say much more because I don't want to potentially ruin anything. Though what I want to most likely wouldn't.
edit: Looks like CanadianSpartain summed it up pretty good. Didn't realize the list was missing Quantam. Actually it's been a while so that particular series I wasn't sure where it was in terms of order. But it was very good. Also didn't know they were coming out with a new game/anime. I'm excited now.
