OP, I applied to a program that places people in fellowships all over Asia, got selected for an interview and will be flying to S.F. on Thursday to interview all-day Saturday. They ask for your top 3 countries/fellowships and why, and mine were:

- Teach English in Singapore
- Microfinance in Cambodia
- Investment banking in Bangkok

After reading this thread I'm wishing I ranked Cambodia as my #1, but I'll be interviewing for all three so I might try to push for the Cambodia placement. I've traveled to Vietnam, China, Taiwan, Singapore, etc, but didn't make it to Thailand or Cambodia yet...and seeing your posts make me want to get back over there ASAP.

Definitely my style of living, very nice!

Lolz...bro, I was in Sihanoukville last year around April...and I remember this chik on the right...she worked at JJ's Playground with my friend. I stayed there for a week and loved partying every night...and every one is so loose. Definitely recommend it. Also love Tom Cats Cinema...the owner is pretty cool. Used to spend the early part of the day chilling Tom Cats with the crew, then hit the beach, then bars.

4 year degree in any concentration from a college is required, nothing outside of that. I just graduated in December and want to get back to that region, if accepted, and have the time of my life

Nice brah. I think I went to that same shooting range if that was in Phnom Penh. I spent a month in Thailand and Cambodia in 2011 before starting grad school. Would love to go back and stay longer.

How did you adjust to the food over there? Diarrhea for a week before everything settled?

Do they have ATM's over there or do you do your banking transactions with bank tellers? (srs)

What's cell coverage like? Did you have a cell phone with you while you were there?

How are their medical services? Did you have any prescription drugs you had to have filled while you were in Cambodia?

Currently in Korea, making good money, definitely want to spend some time in SE Asia in a year or two, Cambodia wasn't that high on my list, but it definitely is now.

Just be aware that this will probably be based in Phnom Penh. Still would be unbelievable though. You couldn't go wrong with any of those loctions.

Haha rad man whats your friends name. She did work at JJ's. I worked there too on occasion. And Top Cat is the ****ing best. Went there 3-4 times a week. The blokes who run it are so out there.

Atms everywhere.

I rarely got sick, some people do get bouts of the chits though.

You can get most prescription drugs over the counter without a prescription.

Cell coverage is fine and very cheap
