Cancer and staying in shape

Hey guys I just wanted to share this with anyone really, especially people who might have any sort of sickness/illness. In September 2012 I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and started Chemotherapy in October 2012 and still have till mid-March 2013 until I finish. I started to notice I was gaining a lot of weight, mainly due to the Prednisone I was prescribed. It caused me to have HUGE cravings for fat and salt, plus the bloating it caused. Also the chemo in general made me feel unmotivated to be physical. A lot of people said it would be nearly impossible to lose this gained fat while on Chemo, as well as build any muscle. Well, basically the whole point of this post is to show people that while having Cancer or any illness, it is NOT impossible to workout and make a difference.

I attached the before and after pictures to this post. The one with no shirt on is the after picture. The before picture was taken in Mid-December 2012, and the after picture was taken yesterday!

I'm still not at my goals. I would like to get to 10% body fat, and put on some more muscle. I hope this post may serve as motivation for anyone who is going through a psychical/mental struggle in their life right now!

Well done man, if you are finding that you are unmotivated. I suggest a training partner that will drag you along! I personally dont like partners mainly because all the ones I've had in the past are crap or want to chat too much... but they do have their benefits.

Once again thanks for all of the feedback everyone! A few days ago I went to the gym and got measured for my body fat % and they said I'm sitting at 12%. Only 2% away from my goal!
