Yeah, these have been continually in stock for like a week. They don't seem to get much love. Lots of people passing on them.
Know anything about them? Used them before?
I keep coming THIIIIS close to ordering some, but I have a few good mags already, and I don't think there will be a ban, so I pass

This video speaks not only to the reliability of Daniel Defense, but also to Aimpoints. After seeing this video, reading 100s of reviews and range reports, I decided to get an Aimpoint H1. I later sold that and upgraded to a T1 2moa when they first came out. I only have 3k rounds through the T1 so I can't speak to its reliability yet, but I plan to take a course this summer and will update then. Should be around ~5k rounds then if ammo prices fall back down. It has ran 100% since I first mounted it and has held zero perfectly.

For a half sheet (4'x4') it was $700 cut "professionally" by a local guy. I think you need a plasma cutter.
Angled you mean? Or just able to move/hang freely?
Mine hang loosely and I've never had any splash back even shooting as close as 5yards with pistols.
Closest I've shot with an "intermediate" rifle cartridge (7.62x39 or .30 carbine) was about 50yards. Normally I try not shoot rifles closer than 150 yards. At my range I can back up to 300 yards. And even made a mini range in a different field where I can shoot at 650yards.Short Shorts Illuminati

I'm not really expecting to stop anyone with birdshot, but in the event there is an intruder, I imagine they would not stick around for long after hearing a couple shots. I'm pretty well trained with firearms, but there is no way to judge these situations. Especially the speed at which they occur, which allot of people don't account for. If I can scare an intruder off without having to shoot him/worry about penetration into neighbors homes then I'd rather do that. I don't have much problem shooting an intruder, but living in MD...I'd rather not kill an intruder. I've been very torn between just one shot of birdshot or two...But reading most of these posts I think I will stick to 1 shot bird and the rest buck. That or buy rounds similar to what you described.

Should I get the butler creek "hot lips" or "steel lips" 10/22 10rnd mag?
What's most reliable?

Daniel Defense will be getting a good hard look when I'm ready to purchase a rifle after watching that video.

Exactly. Not sure why you are seeming to rely on scaring them away with warning shots or ineffective shots before getting to something more reliable.
There's free ground shipping on top of the arfcom?
hmm, I did not know that. I am more tempted than I was before. I prefer PMAG 30s most of all, and Colt/NHMTG 30 or 20 after that...which is pretty much all I have right now...but just in case it wouldn't hurt to have some more 30 rounders, and $17.77 each isn't terrible...and they are in stock
Actual cost each comes to $17.765...I wonder if that 1776 is a sign? lol

My AR wont cycle.
I went today to zero in my eotech and the rifle wont cycle. I bought a low profile gas block awhile back and this is the first time Ive been able to shoot it. The bolt will only move half way back and not eject the round. I took everything off thinking I put the gas tube in upside down and I had everything right. Put it back together and still wont cycle. Guess that is what I get for buying a $25 gas block at the gun show. I either need a new gas block or cut the front site off the stock block that came on the AR. I got my Eotech sighted in though. The problems we face today are there because the people who work for a living are now out numbered by those who vote for a living.

Check this vid out. What the hell bros? I know most of this is old news but I'm not one for conspiracies and none of this schit makes sense. It might be taken down soon but try clicking on different sizes of the video if the first one is out.

Rejection is part of life and if you go around avoiding it, then you aren't going to realize everything this universe has to offer. The quick, sharp pain of rejection you feel is a very momentary fleeting feeling that will disappear. The pain of "what if", however, can last a life time

this doesn't make any sense... the low parallax is inherent to reflector sights, not just aimpoints
try cleaning the gas block?
I'm thinking
a. gas block/gas tube is dirty so not enough gas is getting through
b. gas block/gas tube is too loose so not enough gas is getting through
c. gas tube might not be mating with the gas key very well
these are just guesses from a design standpointLast edited by livebrah; 01-13-2013 at 02:57 PM.

This is the low profile gas block. Hard to see in the pic but the gas hole in the barrel is not lining up good with the hole in the block.

I finally pulled the trigger on a half dozen of these. The free ground shipping + Botach being out of stock/backorder on the PMAG 20s pout me over the edge.

Cliffs: Available, in stock 30 round AR magazines for $17.765 each if you order 6, and early feedback indicates that they are decent mags. If nothing else the "use them for the range/training to save abuse on your Gold Standard mags" theory seems pretty darn good to me right now.
Or hold onto them just in case the country goes full potato and we get another mag banLast edited by Farley1324; 01-13-2013 at 03:04 PM.
