I did not buy them today, but they arrived today, so that is good enough lol
Dip handles and Monolift setup from Edge Fitness (I do not even have the rack or the room ready, but the sale was about to end, so I had to order the monolift asap lol)

It surprises me how many people refuse to buy equipment from Elitefts because its too expensive but they will buy equipment from their competitors, then continue to go on EFS website to educate themselves for FREE

Interesting.....
Thanks to both of yall for the pics (i will rep yall on recharge)
I think its a good product at a great price. But i wish he DID NOT make his universal. I wish he made them specific for your rack. The purpose of a monolift is to get the bar exactly where you want it. I like the big cylinder counter-weight.
http://www.1500lb.com/safetypowerhooks.html
His are almost twice the price once shipped but he will build it for your rack 2x2, 2x3, 3x3 etc. And his have like 6-8 holes so you can get the bar to the exact height.
Rick should consider making his for the customers rack w/ at least 4 holes (he will have to increase price but shouldnt cost more than $50)It surprises me how many people refuse to buy equipment from Elitefts because its too expensive but they will buy equipment from their competitors, then continue to go on EFS website to educate themselves for FREE

it was $249 in january, as it was the monthly special, hence the reason I jumped on it
If i NEED to get the monolift dead on, I have my own drill, its not a huge deal to me.
Though, it will be a while till I even have the rack (As i have to build the walls for my breezeway first), so no real clue if it is already perfect positioning or not.()---() York Barbell Club #37 ()---()

I was texting him last month trying to get quotes and shipping quotes..... He vanished and I never got answers. I'm interested in the brawler, but I might have to stay with black widow, they responded and got me what I needed.

It appears to me that the monolift that is linked to 1500lb.com is not designed to also use for benching as it is attached at the top of the back cross member. Whereas Rick's design at Edge is designed in a way that you can also set it up at lower heights to use for benching.

He has a poor mans monolift (bottom of page) or he has a bolt on monolift w/ actual jacks that can be used for benching or squatting.

Not a stupid question, most monolifts have 1 jack (its similar to a car jack) and NEED someone to pull the lever to move the arms out of the way so the lifter can squat.
Clint Darden's is a homemade one, if you see his squats he kind of uses momentum to swing the arms out of the way.
The Crepinsek poor mans monolift and edgefitness monolift(pictured above) has a counterweight towards the top(the cylinder in the pic above) so when you lift the bar up the counterweight moves forward (towards the lifter) which moves the hook back and out of the way so you can squat.
The reason those are called poor mans or econo monolift is because they bolt on and cant be adjusted w/ a jack. You have to unbolt and re-bolt it where you want it to adjust, not a big problem if you lift alone, but if you have multiple lifters then it can be a pain unless they are the same height
Crepinsek does make a monolift that can be bolted and has jacks. It surprises me how many people refuse to buy equipment from Elitefts because its too expensive but they will buy equipment from their competitors, then continue to go on EFS website to educate themselves for FREE

so once you've finished lifting, do you just lean the bar into the hooks or step it forward? i get the release, but from garageiron's youtube video in the other thread, seems like you need to fall out of position to rack.
also, any particular reason why there isn't one made like normal j-hooks (pin and a turn)?

Yes you do have to lean in (towards the mono attachments) to re rack the bar. Or have a training partner stand in front of you and push them in but not sure how safe that would be. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OWVtOvV1q4I

I've always seen people basically just fall forward back into the hooks. They are designed to stick our from the rack so if you kind of hit the rack, then bend forward a little bit, the hooks will catch no problem.
Can't wait to get the mono attachment from edge though, walking heavy **** out is no fun, sometimes gasses me before the lift even begins.

pretty good 2 days. got the following
parabody leg curl/extension bench. got it for $50 (had a white one that was 99% identical, sold for $65 to buy the new one, originally paid $25 for it )
parabody flat bench for $35 . these 2 parabody pickups almost make me feel less sad about selling my parabody hack squat, but i prefer the vertical leg press i got a few weeks ago.
old school style sissy squat for $65. its alot smaller than it looks so i can bring it inside .
lastly this preacher curl bench for $110 .
i really don't have the space for it inside but it was oh so comfortable to use! i will figure something out for it!▪█───────█▪ Equipment Crew #46 ▪█───────█▪
