I quit smoking cigs about 10 months ago i used to be 240lbs in ten months i gained roughly 60lbs
i have decided and planed my meals out and my exercise regiment as such:
weight train 4 days a week
run 30mins 7days a week
i am gunning for a complete life change and am sticking to it i used to be 220lbs playing rugby
everyday for 5 years and am disgusted with myself now, my goal is to lose 80lbs-100
my question is how much weight is possible to lose a week/month?
i am gunning for 4-5lbs a week..is that too much? basically is 20 pounds a month attainable?
i have a gut, with a lot of stretch marks cause i gianed weight way too fast..will i have saggy skin if i lose weight too fast?
im tired of being a fat **** my whole life!

People keep missing the 6'6" part.... I am almost 6'5"ish and I am in the 25% range and i am a monster and it is not impossible to be in this range... Its just hard work... you can find everything you need on this site.. And its just going to be difficult. You just need to buckle down and do it. Its tough work and you can use us and this site to vent frustration and for other motivation... but really its all here for you and it comes down to just doing it.

OP, just to give you something to judge by, I'm ~20-22% in my avi. I'm about 4" shorter than you, but I'm 80lbs lighter. I'm with everyone else here. It's unlikely you're 22% unless you're some genetic freak. That said, don't worry about the numbers... unless you're sub 10% the numbers don't really matter. Just judge your progress by the mirror and the way your clothes fit. Read up in the nutrition section, figure out your macros, hit the weights hard and you still start seeing results soon!

Yeah, unless you put on an enormous amount of muscle mass during your 10 month eating binge, then your BF% has got to be a lot higher than 22.
The part where you say "im tired of being a fat **** my whole life!", makes me think you were probably ~20% pre-binge. That's ~198lbs. lean mass (nothing to sneeze at). So, I would say you're in the ~32% range now.Last edited by KingOfAllCosmos; 08-02-2012 at 11:04 AM.

I'd suggest not worrying about bodyfat percentage right now, nor target weight. Just start your exercise/nutrition program and start losing. I alsways suggest slow weight loss, no more than a pound a week (really) to minimize muscle loss and assure your don't throw your hormonal system (both glugogon/insulin and hunger/sated) out of wack. In you're case, it will also allow more time for your skin to adjust to the weight loss.
Consistant work will get you where you want to be. In most cases, to much to soon backfires, both physically and psychologically. Work, observe, and adjust as you go and never, never, never give up.
As your body fat drop into the lower teens, you can start to plan a realistic target weight.
Start today, now!
Best of luck.Brad Stearns

If you post a profile pic it will motivate you to get in shape and people will have a better understanding of your size.
I'm closer to 6'4" than 6' 3" and 265lbs in my profile pics. It's been 15 months since I've been to the gym as I've been training 6-7 days a week in other sports that cover over 100-200 miles a week combined.
Look at my profile pics and if you look like you have much more fat than me you're nowhere near 22%. That back picture I'm probably around 16% fat.
