Nice boxing day workout.. the second wave of 3/5/1 is about just doing the required reps and not going AMRAP right?

Cycle 1 wave 2 bench 5 reps
Bench
135 1x5
135 1x5
150 1x3
160 1x5
170 1x5
180 1x5
Everything felt faqin heavy today. Arms felt like chit as well. One of them days I guess
BBB bench
135 1x10
135 1x10
135 1x10
135 1x10
135 1x10
Felt a tad better on these, but still felt heavy for some reason. The last set I did not rest long enough and had to really grind out the final 3 reps. Got them all though.
Pendlay
145 1x10
145 1x10
145 1x10
145 1x10
These felt nice and strong. No problems at all. I almost LOL'ed at the dudes that were mirin me doing them.
straight bar cable pressdowns
45 1x20
45 1x20
45 1x20
45 1x20
45 1x20
By this point my tris were fried, but had to press on and git r dun. Was a real struggle on them about the 3rd set but powered through.
Overall, was a real grind of a day on the bench, but such is life. I got all the reps so that's all that matters. Pendlay weight seemed right on as it was a challenge to hit the reps. Gonna enjoy my two days of rest then hit deads on Monday. More snow on the way tomorrow...yippie. Gonna take the boy out sled riding...BRB doing hill sprints in 8'' of snow with a 40lb kid on a sled(who needs a prowler).OG

There's a famous story that some older folks like to tell over here about the weather man. Back in the late 80s there was a well known one called Michael Fish who said that it was going to be a nice evening. That night, there was a hurricane, which is like a solar eclipse in the uk. Moral of the story... Don't trust the weather man.
My training has sucked lately too. We'll get through it.Powerlifter 160/100/195/455kg @ 91.55

I hate those days in the gym. One week everything feels light then the next week everything feels heavy. Sh!t could be a mental fuk for sure.
