Rustled:
Was out with the dog last weekend. Slipped and fell on my icy front steps. My butt has a bruise the size of Texas. Right on the tailbone. Haven't been able to work out all week. Can you break your back and still walk?

Broken coccyx checking in. Hurts like hell still if I sit wrong, or sit for a long time lol. Been a year or two now but all they could do is try some shot, and if that didn't work remove the bone. I'll have it done one day when I have medical/can afford it. For now it basically just gets in the way of about eighty percent of ab work lol.
I'm back?

Yeah. I can't sit for very long. It starts to hurt.
I figured they couldn't do anything anyway, so I just iced it. Didn't have it checked out.
Agreed! Hurt my back a couple of months ago. I wish I could go one season without an injury. Grrrrrr.

Oh, believe me, I am getting plenty of that in other areas...haha! She's nuts about keeping the kitchen clean, he never wipes the stove off after cooking so I will find it later on...I'm just waiting for her to complain about that too. It wouldn't bother me much if it didn't open the door to another thing for her to ride my ass about. I can handle his annoying habits when it's just us, but she is completely unforgiving towards others' ways of doing things. Ah well, only a couple more months!

I have one today from work that irked me like NO OTHER.
I sell metal for right now. This won't be my career as I'm in school pursuing a PhD, but it's what I do to make a living right now. A couple months ago one of my co workers left, which left me and one other person to run all of New England. The higher ups hired this chick that works in our PA location, but as a CT branch employee, which let me tell you DOESN'T work. She never knows if we are on the phone or what we are doing and vice versa. She has no idea what she is doing and will constantly take our customers and quote them ridiculous pricing, making us less likely to hit our goal of $1 MIL.
So the other day they approved an order for her of $14,000. Kicker is, it was a 6% order. Which means her profit was NOTHING. We go by "line" profit and on one line she was making 5 cents. Yea, 5 cents. Because that covers labor, and gas, and everything else to get the material there. I put in an order today for 36% making $380 on ONE line out of a 5 line quote and mine was denied. How does that even make sense? But alas, when we try to defend ourselves we are told it's "irrelevant" and if we don't like it "there are other oppurtunities outside of the company". Oy, TGIF.

Bought new furniture for the house, the old one was about 3 years old, still in good shape, but no the wife wanted new ones, sectional, this and that, so I said fuk it I dont give a chit, she keeps it clean and takes care of me.
So it is getting delivered on Sunday, she just called me and said, I gave the old ones to my friend, they picked it up today. So in one hand that is ok I dont have to try and sell it on Craigslist, they picked it up.
But its Friday, WHERE THE FUK AM I GOING TO SIT DOWN ON AND WATCH TV on SATURDAY?

My friend bought an old Victorian house about 10 years ago. When she bought it, it was a disaster. What a mess. She paid $127K for it. She spent the next 3 years renovating. She slept on a lawn chair in the front parlour for 3 years. She did as much "general labour" as she could herself for the trades to keep her costs down. As she said, her blood, sweat and tears are in that house.
It is absolutely gorgeous, and going for over a million now. I'm thinking those 3 years in the lawn chair served her well!No drama: You know where we are.

I would too, but in Toronto, you need to bring home bags and bags and bags of money. They are very expensive. Like I say, my friend slept on a lawn chair for 3 years in order to renovate it. It's 3 stories, plus a basement. She rents one storey out. She has huge equity, but it is expensive to keep up. She's single and has no kiddies, so she can do it.
I absolutely love the way she preserved the home. She kept the baseboards and window frames and leaded windows, and the beautifully sculpted plaster ceilings. Then, she went shopping at nifty thrift shops in Toronto for artwork from the era.
When the house was finally finished, she did the gardens. They are gorgeous and true to the period. And she did it all herself (and she's a wee tiny thing - I can't believe she did all that hard labour!).No drama: You know where we are.

I was carrying my daughter down the steps when she was about 1. I slipped somehow and fell right on my tailbone. It hurt like a mother. I was going to go to the ER but my soon to be ex-husband talked me out of it as there really isnt anything they could do. As much as it hurt, I don't think it was broken because it wasn't so excruciating that I couldn't walk at all or couldn't sit. But I sit for work and don't have a whole lot of room to change positions. It wasn't fun and was still pretty sore if I was sitting in the wrong chair in the wrong position for quite a while, at least a few weeks. It happened on a Wednesday and I know I went back to the gym by Monday but I didn't work out then like I do now. It still gives me a slight problem if I do Russian twists or something where I'm putting pressure on it in abs class and I dont have a cushion-y mat, but it's not debilitating pain or anything. It just annoys me.
I hope you feel better soon!!!Danielle xoxo

Donating plasma right now. Feels like the needle is stabbing me in the bicep. Very strange and unpleasantly new feeling.
I'm back?
