i need to train my defense tactics so if any of you ladies need me to rough up an ex, i could put it as training. feel like men would be easier than women, less hair pulling.

I don't drink either. Hasn't been a problem except for that one occasion where a friend attacked me at a party with a bowl of jello shots. Laughed it off, everything was fine again a minute later.
Jimmy rustling for the day... I hate that I'm struggling with what used to be one of my best lifts, deadlift. Humph. I did recently switch from a mixed grip to double overhand, so that could have something to do with it, but aaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhh! Hate feeling like I'm going backwards on something!

I can't blame not being able to hold onto the bar, since we made the switch so I can get used to using straps. I'm having a hard time keeping my upper body form with the change to double overhand. My weakest point was always my shoulders getting dragged forward, I'd fixed it with mixed grip, but it's back with a vengeance now. So I stand in the gym and yell at my shoulders I THOUGHT I'D FIXED YOU, but they don't listen.

Yupp that's why I can't barbell anymore haha. My CV joint (shoulder, not car lol) keeps getting jacked up, Chiro and I finally realized it was pretty much always after Chest day. Yesterday it started hurting in the middle of my benching session, so We're gonna see if that helps. My shoulder has been screwed since High school wrestling so it's all about finding what is nice to it.
I'm back?

So, I normally avoid political talk...but, my jimmies are a little rustled that our President hasn't made any mention of Chris Kyle's death...no presence by the administration at his funeral...no flags flown at half-mast. His defenders say he has a lot on his plate and he can't attend every soldier's funeral. But, Chris Kyle was NOT just any soldier. After reading Kyle's autobiography last year, I'm certain he would not have wanted nor expected our President or current administration to recognize him or his service...but, I wonder how his family feels. It just seems wrong to me."I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." ~Philippians 4:13

Typed up a rant and then roommate's ****ty internet kicked me off and erased the whole thing... About to have a jimmy explosion!
For the rant....have 4 classes left to finish my associate's, a para-educator program. One of the classes was being modified and thus temporarily unavailable, supposed to be ready by this summer. It's not ready, so the college is deciding to do away with the entire program. In my dealings with the head of the Edu Dept, it appears as though the program was fairly useless to begin with, and I may have just wasted the last year and a half + however much money on a degree that isn't going to get me where I needed to be. No worries, I can teach you and you can practice against a guy.
My jimmies are rustled because they removed wrestling from the Olympics. I say, let them put the Olympic committee members on the mats and let them see how physically demanding it is.
- on a lighter note it opens up the possibility of adding BJJ to the itinerary. Its already more popular than wrestling and can already encompass nearly everything involved in olympic wrestling.Ever since I was a child I have had this instinctive urge for expansion and growth. To me, the function and duty of a quality human being is the sincere and honest development of one's potential.

What a perfect thread for me tonight! Jimmies are major-league rustled . . . and just freakin' depressed, too. Went to jujitsu tonight and was drilling with a new guy to our school (but pretty experienced from another school). There was only about 10 minutes left in the class. He cranked on an armbar like he was fighting for the championship belt, and before I could even blink . . . "POP". Distal biceps rupture. Just got back from the ER--will have to have surgery and will be out of the martial arts and lifting for quite awhile.
Fuarking sucks! The thing I am most PO'd about is how long this is going to sideline me from lifting and other activities. Kind of had to see in the pic, because the bicep was thankfully a little relaxed when I took the shot. But it rolls up like a window shade when it contracts.
Pros: Makes my bicep look bigger than it really is
Cons: Basically EVERYTHING else! Surgery, recovery, pansy weights for awhile even when I do get back, lardazz for summer, etc. And probably some piece of the medical costs to pick up--although I thankfully have very good insurance from my job.

No idea . . . tomorrow I have to start calling around to find an orthopedic surgeon (I want to find someone decent--we have a couple friends who are MDs and they said they'd give me some names). I don't have a clue what it will look like after it's fixed for recovery. I went to the ER tonight (knew it would be a waste of time) and the one Dr. there said it could be 6 to 8 months after it's all said and done before lifting anything even remotely heavy with that arm. A second Dr. came by and said it may not be THAT bad, but that "a few months for sure" should be expected.
I guess we'll find out. Just sucks on so many levels.*MFC Elder Statesmen Cabinet Crew*
