best vanilla and chocolate protein?!

was looking to pick up some OG scivation chocolate and vanilla whey. but havent been able to find it available for $40ish/5lber. soooooooo, now i need to find an alternative! want something that is of high quality, generous on the # of servings, TASTE must be good (the wife is gonna be using this protein also), and around $35-$45 per 5lber. thanks in advance

Can only speak to vanilla as I am weird and have never liked chocolate protein powders but both Trutein and Scivation's Whey vanillas are both very good. I prefer Trutein because my taste buds liken it to Dairy Queen soft serve. Good stuff.

The Trutein Vanilla could very well be worth the added expense. If it weren't for Trutein's Vanilla, I would rarely drink vanilla flavored protein. Here are quotes on the taste from the first few reviews I could find:

I have a close friend who would certainly agree with that. He has all of the flavors, but Choco PB Cup is practically all I ever see him drinking. What did you think of the Vanilla?

Glad to hear you liked it. As for the CDB, you might like the Banana Cream better. My tub of CDB has been largely neglected since the Banana Cream release.

I have yet to try Trutein's Vanilla, but I have been on the biggest Vanilla Combat Powder kick lately. Stuff is flat out awesomeeee and works extremely well if I toss in any fruit to make a smoothie. I'm a huge fan of any flavor of Combat though to be honest.
