    Sushi

    I'm going to a restaurant this weekend for all you can eat sushi. I will likely eat about 40 pieces



    Can you guys give me an idea for about how many calories that is? Is there any way to figure it out because I'm not sure exactly what kind of sushi I'll be eating or what they offer. Is there an avg number for sushi at most restaurants?

    40 rolls? you understand that 40 rolls means something like 240 pieces of sushi right?

    40 pieces is still like 7 rolls but its definitely doable. Don't worry about that calories and get back to your diet the next day.

    It would be one thing if you were eating nigiri, which is, a piece of raw fish on some rice. Thats pretty easy to calculate. But in the case of most american-fusion rolls, which are topped with fish, have tempura inside with avacado, cream cheese, sometimes fried entirely themselves, etc....its not gonna happen.

    you're awakening a monster. I've eaten 5-6,000 calories in 1 sitting at brazilian steakhouses before. I don't want to waste an entire week's effort


    Besides, 40 rolls is still a ton. I'm gonna feel bad for asking the waitress to bring me like 8 different orders

    Dude, just stay away from the sauces that top a lot of rolls....a ton of them are mayonnaise based and that's what makes sushi unhealthy...also the fried rolls/tempura stuff which i dont like anyways. Otherwise just throw it down...fish and rice with some avocado, and maybe some veggies ...all good

    i'd ballpark 40 pieces at 2k cals

    that's straight up nigri, fish on rice...no rolls, no avocado, no bells and whistles

    but when i sushi, i dont count, it kills the fun but if you insist on counting the 2k for 40 pieces of nigri is a fair estimate
