There's no real "offer" -- at least nothing formal -- I just have the names of everyone who sent us an e-mail, and we'll contact them and give the first dibs.
I'm making the sleeves now. I just finished the bar prototype of the new OBZ-40, extra-long EZ curl bar.
That curl bar was made in overseas, and is now made in Los Angeles. It would've cost nearly the same to make it there as here,
if we wanted the same quality.
Then testing the OBZ-40, and then setting on final spec for the actual bar for the OB-Shorty. I'm trying for mid-2012 but I'm afraid it might be later in the
year than that
Thanks,

Ok, a 5ft Ivanko curl bar popped up on ebay a couple of days ago. It wasn't quite as good of a deal as the 4ft one that popped up the other day, but for $100 I couldn't pass it up. When it arrives, I'll be up to 5 Ivanko curl bars.

The 6ft is my favorite one. Use it in the rack for close grip and reverse grip benching as well as tricep extensions to the face (safeties set so I can't hit myself) and behind the head (safeties set lower so they don't interfere).
Not sure I'm ready to heal just yet.
Each rack needs its own set of bars. Actually I'm hoping to start and complete an addition to the back of the house this year that will allow me to set up at least two of the half racks.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #39 ▪█─────█▪

The 6ft is used exclusively in the rack. I use the current 5ftr with bumpers to do bent over barbell rows. My wife uses one of the 4ftrs to do bent over barbell rows and the other one at the two sided curl station. I will be using the new 5ftr to replace the Hampton that I currently use on the other side of the curl station. Since the two of us do workouts together with large differences in weight, it makes things easier to have our own bar.
I could do just fine with one of each, but as stated earlier, I have an addiction, which makes it easy to justify buying extra stuff - LOL▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #39 ▪█─────█▪

Ivanko Curl bar number 5 arrived today. Now I need to get another 7ft power bar. The one I have has the knurling in the center, so I want to get one without the knurling. Just need to decide if I'm going to get another black one, or if I'm going to go for the stainless.

Got mine in NJ and in FL. Dad lives in NJ and brothers live in FL. I was searching like 5 states at one point for Ivankos.
Just gotta be ready to jump on them when they pop up. Unless your Keetman and you just one day decide that you want like 1500lbs of Ivankos for 45 cents a pound.[]---[] Ivanko Barbell Crew #18 []---[]

You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

Hey this is for all the ivanko/olifting experts out there, is the only difference between the obx-20kg and ob-20kg besides center knurling? For some reason I was under the impression that obx has a more aggressive knurling and is powerlifting oriented. I recently got an obx-20kg in a craigslist deal, and began pursuing Oly lifting. At the intermediate levels of O-lifting, should I consider purchasing a new bar, or is this on par with other Olifting bushing/bearing bars like the pendlay, elieko, rogue bearing bar(which i have personally never had the opportunity to touch). Any help would be much appreciated!

Took me a second, but I figured this out. LoL, I'm sensitive to climbing on the roof, not rolling with punches....considering what I do for a living, the guys at work have had some fun with me falling off a ladder.
Did you just make me a verb or forget to add a "give"?
I don't think I've been "given" anything, I've had to put a lot of leg work in and spend some bucks on gas, but its all worth it. I did basically get a very large discount on some stuff from a good dude about a year ago though. Also, one seller gave me a cage, weights, and bench for $100 and as I walked away he said "thanks" and joked that he should've paid me to take this stuff.....I just smiled and thought "you did".
Market is pretty dead though.....very little out there, although I can hardly complain and don't.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #4 ▪█─────█▪

Just the center knurling. I got an old OBX-20kg from Craiglist as well. Even though it's old, its knurling is still way more aggressive than most other bars I've seen (except for the Texas Power bar, that thing has teeth). It's pretty sharp compared to Oly bars, so you may want to tape the center knurl (so it doesn't catch your neck on a clean/power clean). I post some pictures of the OBX-20kg bar next to an Eleiko sport training bar in the Barbell thread, so you can see them for yourself. The Eleiko's center knurl is really light, almost like a marking and not a knurl.
As for spin, it does spin very well, almost as good as a bearing bar (shouldn't be a problem, unless you're an elite Olympic lifter). I don't know much about whip, since I don't lift enough for it to matter (I mostly use it for deadlifts). I suspect that the OB-20kg will have the same whip anyway, since it's the same bar minus the center knurl. The OBX-20kg is a 28mm bar (easier for hook grip) with snap ring (no cheap bolt to break), so it's still better for Olympic lifts than most sub-$300 bars out there.

The biggest difference outside of the center knurl is the knurl rings (Ivanko will be 32 inches and true Olympic Lifting bars will be 36). I'm sure you can work around this just like you can work around the center knurl. As far as spin, I've got the Pendlay bearing bar and the Ivanko spins better (smoother and quieter) than the Pendlay without a load (no plates on the bar - I haven't tested it with a load). My wife has Rogue and Pendlay bushing bars (women's) and they aren't in the same league as the Ivanko. The knurl on the Ivanko is a little more aggressive than the Pendlay, but not that much more. I can't speak to an Elieko, because I've never used one.

There have been rumors of such happenings, but little is known of the truth. Some say the equipment just appears, almost as though the heavens opened up and bestowed their blessings at the feet of Keetman. Others argue that people come from far and wide to pay homage to this character and know of no other way to pay tribute than to add to the growing mass of iron. Some are more cynical and are convinced that his gifts are home grown, that he simply spends his blood/sweat/and tears forging the treasures that build the myth and the legend.
Indeed, the truth is sadly muttled and forever largely lost, what is known is that there once was a smith machine that sucked and now there is greatness. Lessons are to be learned and feelings are to be broken......but the message shall always be that WE CAN AND SHOULD GO BIGGER.....
.....and probably make some cash doing it !▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #4 ▪█─────█▪
