Blizzard is prepared for the rushed servers. They'll be stalling peoples login attempts to not tax the servers. They've definitely improved their efforts of "launch day" over the years.

The open beta stress test was not a 3 day demo, it was a beta stress test. In other words, it is not a good indicator for the stability of the servers on the actual release.

That being said, Blizzard's last two WoW expansions, and starcraft 2 launched with very little, if any down time at all, and I would expect the same for diablo 3. There is a strong chance you will be able to log on right at 12:01 and won't be disconnected once 'till you pass out from being on too long.

Goes live at 5pm here in Aus, pretty ****ty time if you ask me, gonna be hard to go to sleep that night. Somewhere in Europe would be the best, like 9am or something so you can smash it for like 14 hours lol.

Can anyone explain how stats work in diablo 3. In diablo 2 you could basically walk through naked as a necromancer up to hell with no gear since you could raise skeletons and have them fight for you. As for barbs or any mellee character you would have to have descent gear to get by to do any damage/stay alive. Will there be classes that will be EZ-mode with ****ty gear?

I think he has to wait. Though you would think that they would offer some type of service on bnet. They should give out a digital copy code on the receipt(to my knowledge they don't).

From what I can tell they signify your accomplishments as a d3 player. More accomplishments = more decorations = bigger epeen. (someone correct me if I'm wrong)

Fuarkk I want this game to launch. I've finally accepted that swtor flopped and i have nothing to do for a week since I DONT want to spend another 30 hours of gametime farming huttball for a 10% stat increase on one item. I'm considering playing a barb, is that a good class choice for a Diablo noob?

HC will be more of a boredom time event for me. To me there's nothing fun about playing for 50+ hours just to lose it all because of lag or a bad connection.

Its the plan for me, but only if I can convince my friends that I am playing with. That feel when you open a door to a boss and have no clue whats on the other side...

I think it's because D3 is pulling a lot of console players in who haven't a clue about pc hardware and specs.

Because alot of people that aren't PC gamers will be playing this game. I've read alot of people say that they are building/buying a new computer just because this game is coming out.

I downloaded the game on a PC I spent about $1500 on back in 2006 that I built for WoW. Surprised to see the game ran with flying colors without needing a single upgrade. Going to reinstall Windows and reboot fresh, but that's only because it has almost 7 years of garbage on it that I will never use again.

so it just forces you to have at least one skill in each category(defensive, primary, secondary, etc..) and they'd be all mapped to specific keys(right click, left click, 1, 2, etc..) ? rather than letting you have complete freedom in which skills you want to have at your disposal(you might want to have multiple skills in a certain category, but with elective mode off, you can only have one) as well as letting you map the skills to whatever key you want.

that's what ive gathered from reading, not sure if that's correct though.
