Permanent brain damage by taking DAA?

Hi, i'm 24 years old (bout to be 25) and i've been looking for a product to give me a boost in the gym and also in libido. I've been thinking about trying out a testosterone boosting product such has a DAA product. I've spent almost all day today doing research and trying to find a lot of negative information about taking DAA, but i can't really seem to find any until i stumbled upon this user review :

In addition, NMDA receptors help regulate nitric oxide production (this is what causes your blood vessels to dilate). With damage to my NMDA receptors, I can no longer think clearly. Also my blood vessels no longer dilate when I workout. NMDA is found naturally in the body at low quantities, but you have all the NMDA you need right now!

Do not buy this product. It will make you feel good for a little while, but it is definitely not worth it."

This review pretty much scares me, this guy is claiming he has permanent mental damage from taking this product! What are you thoughts on this and do you think it still is a good idea to take DAA?

I am very serious! Is my question really that stupid? That one guy on amazon could really be BSing or maybe its all in his head. But i am very skeptical before trying any new product and i just want to see all sides and opinions before i put something in my body

That potential issue is the main reason I don't use it. Search, several long threads on it- nothing conclusive, but I decided it wasn't worth the potential risk.

I don't think it's stupid at all man, it's good to be cautious and do research before using any supplement since your health comes first and foremost. I read that review too and not sure why anyone would think someone would B.S. a story like that.

If your looking for a boost in the gym I would suggest just going with a good pre-workout but hopefully some people with experience with DAA will chime in with some good advice.

Ive taken DAA 3x before and I have experienced nothing like this. Though while no one can say for sure this guy didnt suffer some sort of re-action, because everyone responds differently to outside chemicals being ingested.


I would say the % of that happening to you is so minute. Think about all the countless amount of people who have taken it, more than 1 person would of had to experience this kind of side effect before. As long as you follow the guidelines and dont over do it... Get the DAA and you will enjoy it.

well we are all different. Things will effect different people in different ways. just because one person is fine doesnt mean another wont be. just cause your fine now doesnt mean you wont have issues later. Its good to be cautious with anything you take.

I still have a sex drive , its just that its not nearly as high as when i was a teenager. Random rock hard boners that point to the ceiling etc.

Those are the only two negative reviews I've seen on our DAA products (caps or powder) and this has been discussed at length before. Let me see if I can find one of synapsin's posts.

In the short term, upregulation of NMDAR will not induce neurotoxicity that people associate with DAA

we are not injecting DAA into our brains. I have read the studies where they use nmda to induce neuronal death and they produce localized concentrations that are magnitudes greater than could ever be acheived by oral ingestion of DAA at realistic dosages.

Dont forget that DAA is an endogenous substance with a vital neuroendocrine role. Its not some toxin that your body makes as a byproduct or something

Totally normal. You can't stay a teenager forever, and you won't stay young forever either. At your age, you won't see much of a difference from a test booster.

Just be comfortable with the age you are. You don't start to drop test levels until after age 30, even then it's a small and slow decline. That is when you should start looking into a test booster. Until then just deal with getting older.
