3/7/2012: Hellllloooooooo Fellow Juggernauts!! I just entered the "I AM JUGGERNAUT" challenge by Infinite Labs and I'm totally STOKED!!!! I'm probably not your typical contender being that I'm 37 years YOUNG and have 4 children (a 17 year old boy, a 14 year old boy, a 6 year old boy and a 20 Month old boy). I've been a member of bodybuilding.com and bodyspace since October of 2010 (just 3 months after the birth of my 4th son). Becoming a member of bodybuilding.com was the BEST thing I've ever done for myself. I've been able to shed 95 pounds since July of 2010 and I've been able to regain my health and energy. I have a brand new outlook on life, and being healthy is one of my biggest priorities.
On the weekends when I hit the gym I take my boys with me so they can also be part of a healthy lifestyle. During the week I usually don't get into the gym until about 8:00pm or so because I work full-time for an Engineering Company (which I'm hoping to change very soon) and I don't usually get home until 5:00pm. I then have to help the boys with homework, cook dinner, do house work, study for my State Real Estate Licensee Exam, etc. Not to mention catching my son's varsity baseball games every chance I get. By the time I put my youngest son to bed I'm BEAT, but I drag my but to the gym anyway because in the long run, I know it will all pay off.
I was excited to learn about the I AM JUGGERNAUT CHALLENGE. I'm always game for a new challenge, and was looking for something to help me take my training to the next level. That's how I got HERE!!
With all that being said and now that you know a little about me, I hope I can motivate others especially females just like myself to take the extra step to get healthier and more fit. While motivating others, I also hope to gain more knowledge and inspiration from the other Juggernauts here!
Happy Wednesday everyone, stay fit and stay strong!

3/8/2012: GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD MORNING JUGGERNAUTS!!!! Day TWO here of the CHALLENGE and I'm feeling GREAT and full of ENERGY!! Let me first start by saying THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to everyone who welcomed me aboard, to all those that paid me compliments on the weight I've already lost, and for offering help and advice!! It's so nice to feel so welcomed. I'm sooooooooooo loving this challenge already. It's put my mindset in check and has me amped up to train hard! I can't WAIT for my new supplements to come in.
I told my husband last night that I'm a JUGGERNAUT in training and he looked at me like I was crazy. I do believe his response was, "Good job baby!" Gotta love my support system!
Well my fellow Juggs...gotta run for now. I'll check back in later and let you know how my day is going. Until then, train hard!

3/8/2012: LUNCH TIME - Ok, as I struggle to figure out what I want to eat for lunch a few questions came to mind. When trying to cut weight (fat) and tone up (gain muscle) what amounts of the following should be adhered to for successful results?
- Carbs
- Fats
- Protein
- Calories
- Fiber
Now, when I search the web I find conflicting stories on how many carbs you should or shouldn't have, what your caloric intake should be, how much protein you should be eating..yadda, yadda, yadda. I just need clarity on what my intake should be so I can focus on my goal. Right now, I only eat 1000-1500 calories a day. Never going above 1500! I know if I increase my workout schedule I will have to up my calories...right?
I wish there was just a simple calculation to all of this...but if it was easy everyone would be ripped and health! lol
Anyway, if anyone of my Juggernauts has any GOOD information or advice for me on the diet...something that I can understand and follow PLEASE help me out!!
Thanks BUNCHES!!!

Hey Suz... It's always amazing to see people dedicated to fitness & your dedication just shows it! Best of Luck to You in all your goals! keep at it!
.....Just with your busy schedule alone shows there's enough time to still train.... gives me no excuses! Thanks!
~~~ I'm no nutritionist but based on what I've read from magazines like Flex, etc (which is mostly geared towards Men bodybuilding), they tend to recommend 15 - 20 x bodyweight for calories intake, so for me, if i wanted to hit 180, i'd eat 180x20 = 3600 calories Protein 1.5-2 x bodyweight, Carbs 1-1.5 (some say 2) x bodyweight and Fats 1x bodyweight ..... obviously that'll all be split into 5-6 meals per day for total of 3600 calories (give or take a couple calorie)
personally, when i was on my cutting phase a while back (about 3-4 months ago), I tried Carb Cycling...which I recommend to really ease into it as I didn't and found myself really dizzy the first couple of days. but with that, I'd keep protein the same, and 3 days of the week, I'd eat higher fats (yes, fats) and lower my carbs to about 100g/day ...then 2 days of the week (1 day usually around thursday and the other sunday), I'd overload on carbs switching what i did previously... so carbs would jump to about 300g+/day ... that worked well for me, my bodyfat % hit around 9-10% (still high i know) but that was without cardio at all... so that might be the solution for you?
speaking of that, maybe I'll go about the same myself, haha..Last edited by NoCg3Joke; 03-08-2012 at 12:15 PM.
YAY! Just got home and my supplements were at my doorstep. Can't wait to try them out tomorrow!
One quick question. Can I take the Phenyl Core with the Juggernaut or do I need to substitute one for the other? I don't want to take both together and end up getting sick. Please Juggernauts, help this newbie out.
Thanks!
First of all - welcome to the JUGGERNAUT family. To elaborate on your question regarding Phenyl Core and Juggernaut - you need to make sure you consider your caffeine intake. I used both and I worked out in the morning. I would take my Juggernuat pre workout then take Phenyl Core early afternoon. I found that taking Phenyl Core twice a day in addition to JUGGERNAUT was too much caffeine for me. Depending on your previous experience with pre workouts and thermogenics as well a your tolerance to stimulants will determine how you should dose these two products. FYI - 200 mg caffeine in one scoop of JUGGERNAUT and 200mg in Phenyl Core - so dose accordingly.
As stated by everyone else, both have 200 mg caffeine "per serving". 1 scoop of Juggernaut (used as pre-workout) or a capsule of PhenylCore, best taken upon waking and early afternoon. Caffeine is usually by size and since you are a woman, I would assume one 200 mg doze. If you are a coffee junkie, you may want to avoid it. You will be the best judge of what is too much.
3/9/2012 - Morning: Good morning everyone!! Want to thank EVERYONE that has given me advice and answers to my questions. I love it that I can ask questions and have answers within minutes! The support is also Amazing!!
Lanithroe, in response to your idea of posting a video response to me on your Infinite Labs channel is a superb idea...I love it!
Now, in regards to my supplements. I started the Phenyl Core this morning. I only took one capsule just to see how I tolerate it. So far so good, it doesn't seem too strong or over powerful, but then again I'm a caffeine junkie. I will try two capsules this afternoon. I'm looking forward to using my Juggernaut for training tomorrow.
Well, gotta run (not literally...just working in my boring office). I will check in with everyone at lunch time.
As a caffeine junkie, you should not take it too late or you'll stay up. The herbs in it, IMO, help it to not be so harsh of a buzz.
For carbs remeber there are starch and cruciferous ones. To lose fat, eat less starch an sugar.--------------------------------------------------------------
3/9/2012: LUNCH - My lunch consisted of grilled chicken and a salad. Come to think of it my lunches always seem to consist of grilled chicken. Good thing I love chicken!
I noticed that after taking the Phenyl Core this morning, right around 10:00 AM I was extremely TIRED...almost like someone had given me a tranquilizer. I drank about 40 ounces of cold water to snap myself out of it. Now, this afternoon after taking 2 capsules of Phenyl Core I feel great, focused and full of energy. Another hour or so here in this stuffy office and I'm OFF FOR THE WEEKEND!!! WoooooHoooooo!!!
Hey you, JohnButz, thanks for the photo! I've got to get me a pair of those Juggernaut Pants!!! Love them!
TeamIronClad, I haven't done a workout today since started my new supplements. I UNFORTUNATELY have to WORK in a stuffy OFFICE from 8:00am - 4:30pm. As soon as I do my workout I'll give you an update...I'm sure it's going to be kick ass!!
OK...gotta scoot ass...the boss is coming! Check in with you guys later!!
