When I get where I plan to, professionally speaking, I'm moving to a northern tier state. Possibly northern Idaho because of the proximity to spokane. My best friend lives in cost, WY and he posts pictures to ******** and its simply stunning.
He lives life as a traveling nomad of sorts, never settles for long. Money isnt always there but he's content, to post I know he's lived in 6 different and dabbled in a few trades to make ends meet. Imo that's the lifestyle to have when you are younger just go and explore but settle down when one deems appropriate. He has endless storiesWoodworking crew

Most people graduate college and rush straight into a job. Everyone has dreams, but mostly all of them are too scared to go out and achieve them or they're afraid of failure which is why they settle for a "safe" cubicle job. The people who are afraid to take risks are the middle management, 9-5 people.

ive already done my fair share of being transient, i would rather stay in a large metro area that has access to almost everything you can have
if i can drive and reach somewhere interesting within 30 minutes of driving in any direction i am satisfied. i dont care to be in the center of the city and pay out the ass for cost of living, i would be ok with 20 minutes away from the city but 20 minutes away from the beach and maybe 2 hrs away from the casino/ski resort

Now you know why people use so many different kinds of drugs recreationally.
Hate your life? Have some liquor with vicodins.
Bored? Smoke Weed and play video games. Then, eat your food and fall asleep.
Like to party? Nothing beats X pills when you're in a club. Also, u feel really brave when you add liquor to the equation.
And that my friends, is how to live your life.
Oh ya, a whole bunch of family **** and obligations in between.Booyakasha

The funny thing is that most of africa is nothing like that. Some (small minority) of it is, but the idea that all of africa is like that is just propaganda to make us feel like we have it really great. Most of the world is actually a lot like america (9-5 work, retire at 65 and then die etc.).
Source: I'm in a training program with people from all over the world. Including Ghana, Congo, and a bunch of other african countries.

Understood. I think the main root of the problem is the pursuit to accumulate goods, though. Buy the house, get the car, get the new iPhone, etc. etc. We determine our happiness based on material goods. That's just how our consumerism tends to work. Happiness is determined by external goods rather than internal worth. Or that internal worth is determined by environment. However you choose to spin it, it's the same thing.
If you could offer a million Americans to have a 4 year education of their choice which will NOT yield any monetary profit or a Ferrari (which obviously will not yield any monetary profit, either), what do you think most of them would take? All of humanity's problems stem from man's inability to sit quietly in a room alone.
