At a mates gym a few weeks ago and in their squat rack was this blue, hard plastic babies toilet seat looking thing. I asked 'what the phuck is this' and turns out it's for beta *******s who have tender supple princess girl-dik shoulders and don't wanna hurt them when squating... it has a little groove at the back to sit the bar down in too. Anyone else seen this **** before? Any miscers actually use this *******ry device? Is it popular in US/Canada/UK/rest of Aus? IMO if you squat so much weight you need shoulder/upper back protection then you need to change your shoulder routine (although I use a belt for heavy).
INB4 - I use them cause I squat heavy (I squat 140kg @ 78kg so sack up)
... and no I don't know the fat kunt or the noobs mirin behind me...

In my "advanced" weight training class, literally everyone uses them. No one even lifts irl.
brb squatting 95lbs with shoulder protectionYou have the lower body and you have no upper body, you got a problem building...wait a minute. You have the upper body, and you have no legs, you got a problem building your legs. You have the upper...you have the lower body and you don't have the upper body, the upper body, it is easier to build. So if you have the lower body and you don't have the upper body, it is easier to build the upper body. You have the upper body and you don't have the legs, you got a problem building the lower body

my first gym never had bar pads or that blue thing, so got used to just the bar on my traps/neck....find it uncomfortable to even try using anything like this now

I use it because it helps me stabilize the bar better and takes some of the pressure off of my wrists. Helps me focus more on the squat. I'm there to lift, not worry about how I look or what other *******s are doing.
The real question is are you really this insecure? You deserve what you settle for.

haha I just think we are going a bit overboard with this whole 'protection' thing... in ten years time everyone will be walking around covered in bubblewrap
No AV, no rep power.... advice holds no integrity. Negged!
lol I hate squating with a smith machine, I prefer the core workout that comes with BBell
haha fuuaaark.... if Arnold saw this he would role over in his grave (if he weren't an immortal god and therefore still alive)
