but seriously, I can't think of anything off the top of my head. I know there are some CNS depressants (and blood pressure medications) that have a appetite suppresant qualities.

    1. because they can. They have no competition. There may be different companies (parke-Davis/Pfizer/Teva/Watson/Glasko Klein Smith) but they all run as one giant corporation.

    2. They are trying to make up for the amount they lose because of health care.

ah i see, my acne recently has slowly been getting worse and i dont know what to do, its either wait a few more years and hope that it goes away or it could get worse than it is now.

it would be very helpful if you could tell me some of the 'bad' side effects im aware that it dries you up alot but im not sure about the rest. i hear that you can get reduced night time vision and then you see all this stuff on the internet like forums just for people that have their lives ruined by it and people permanently fatigued from it.

i dunno what to do im leaning towards never doing it. but then there's the thought of always having acne.

I don't think you understand how much money the pharmaceutical companies invest when they are creating a new drug. They have to make their money back plus profit in only a few years

because 9 times out of 10 they are crackheads.

Its funny, we always seem to miscount demerol/morphine/oxycontin pills but in all the years i've been working in pharmacy we've never miscounted blood pressure or cholesterol medications.....

    2. Benadryl is one of those drugs that you want to take with food or milk.

    3. You're not suppose to use it as a sleep aid, that is simply a side effect of the drug. Its mainly used for allergies like you said or for mild itchy skin rashes (bug bites/poison ivy/oak/sumac)
Yeah the ones I had were labelled 'SLEEP-EZE' and available otc. That's why I tried it. Never again. Sticking to occasional benzo use for insomnia. they work so well, but are far too addicting to use regularly. Do you agree the drug diphenhydramine is pretty bad for sleep? I was basically just laying there eyes closed and a uncomfortable heavy feeling, but unable to sleep.

anyway i tossed them out. they can find a good home in my trash can lol.

I also felt dry and sick to my stomach. not fun. and it felt like a rocket hit me the next day at work and i couldn't talk properly for a full day.

What's your opinion on the drug? I'll never touch it again. A google search revealed similar complaints. if it's so terrible why is it marketed otc as a safe effective sleep aid? imo it should be used for allergies only. save the serious insomnia **** for real drugs like benzos etc.
I personally would not take it regularly as a sleep aid.

You are talking about amphetamine salts vs methylphenidate. Structurally fairly similar and are basically amphetamines.

Unless you actually have ADHD, this is a stupid idea. And I recommend you just try legal alternatives, because relying on amphetamines to study is a slippery slope

Got another srs question for you mate.

About two yrs ago, i went thru a rough break up with a girl I really loved. I lost it after. Had to take paxil 60mg/day to relieve anxiety for over a year. I know, weak emo pussy lolol, but whatever.

When I quit, it felt like full blown addiction. Like I had quit an addiction to heroin. it felt like I was going through hell exponentially more each day for two weeks. Still not sure how i made it.

Is this normal? Do you guys find SSRI dependance a common problem, or am I just weak? I know you're supposed to taper slowly, but still. i wouldn't wish what i went through then upon anyone.

do you think the drug companies are sugar coating the withdrawal effects of such drugs? not trying to be a dick. they got me thru a very dark time in my life. i admit they have their uses. but if i'd have known what it would take to quit i'd have grown a pair and said whatever. it made quitting smoking seem like nothing.

just my personal opinion btw, not trying to discredit these drugs which have helped many ppl. I know they have their place. They sure as hell helped me. Just wish I'd known what it would take to quit.

Why would someone who wants to increase the amount of amphetamine in the blood take a bicarbonate?

Yeah I've been drug-free a yr. Just my experience was very unpleasant quitting, and my doctor said I would be able to quit fine. it felt like full-blown drug addiction and got so bad I was shaking, vomiting, anxious and very sick. every day for two weeks i had my symptoms exponentially increase.

I wouldn't call someone who takes antidepressants weak though, we all go through **** in our lives, and we all handle stress differently. Sometimes you need a crutch tempoarily so you can think clearly and get back on your feet. I agree it's not a permanent solution, but it can allow you to work more effectively on your problems.

curious how much complaints this guy gets about ppl quitting these drugs though firsthand. Research of my own suggests I'm not alone in my experience.

What did you pharm techs do to prepare for the PTCB exam?

I'm a pre-pharm studying for my license for pharm experience. My plan is to study for about a week then take the exam.

Any suggested study materials or some helpful advice as far as my part-time job as a pharm tech?

What is your opinion on Aspirin?
should it be taken only when BP is high?
should it be taken year long on minimal dose?

and what is the most effective drug to lower BP, but with the least sides and the least dangerous?

how does busiprone (buspar) work? everywhere it looks it says "nobody knows how it works"

which kind of pisses me off because they shouldnt be perscribing it then, and they should at least be able to say whats in it and what that does
