ah i see, my acne recently has slowly been getting worse and i dont know what to do, its either wait a few more years and hope that it goes away or it could get worse than it is now.
it would be very helpful if you could tell me some of the 'bad' side effects im aware that it dries you up alot but im not sure about the rest. i hear that you can get reduced night time vision and then you see all this stuff on the internet like forums just for people that have their lives ruined by it and people permanently fatigued from it.
i dunno what to do im leaning towards never doing it. but then there's the thought of always having acne.

Yeah the ones I had were labelled 'SLEEP-EZE' and available otc. That's why I tried it. Never again. Sticking to occasional benzo use for insomnia. they work so well, but are far too addicting to use regularly. Do you agree the drug diphenhydramine is pretty bad for sleep? I was basically just laying there eyes closed and a uncomfortable heavy feeling, but unable to sleep.
anyway i tossed them out. they can find a good home in my trash can lol.Last edited by themadc0w; 03-26-2011 at 09:57 PM.

I take proscar for thinning hair. I cut em up into 4 quarters with a pill splitter. The pill is 5 mg. If i cut it up evenly am I really getting 1.25 mg per quarter or is the finesteride distribution not even in the pill?

You are talking about amphetamine salts vs methylphenidate. Structurally fairly similar and are basically amphetamines.
Unless you actually have ADHD, this is a stupid idea. And I recommend you just try legal alternatives, because relying on amphetamines to study is a slippery slopeYour achievements in life mean NOTHING without aesthetics

Got another srs question for you mate.
About two yrs ago, i went thru a rough break up with a girl I really loved. I lost it after. Had to take paxil 60mg/day to relieve anxiety for over a year. I know, weak emo pussy lolol, but whatever.
When I quit, it felt like full blown addiction. Like I had quit an addiction to heroin. it felt like I was going through hell exponentially more each day for two weeks. Still not sure how i made it.
Is this normal? Do you guys find SSRI dependance a common problem, or am I just weak? I know you're supposed to taper slowly, but still. i wouldn't wish what i went through then upon anyone.
do you think the drug companies are sugar coating the withdrawal effects of such drugs? not trying to be a dick. they got me thru a very dark time in my life. i admit they have their uses. but if i'd have known what it would take to quit i'd have grown a pair and said whatever. it made quitting smoking seem like nothing.
just my personal opinion btw, not trying to discredit these drugs which have helped many ppl. I know they have their place. They sure as hell helped me. Just wish I'd known what it would take to quit.

Yeah I've been drug-free a yr. Just my experience was very unpleasant quitting, and my doctor said I would be able to quit fine. it felt like full-blown drug addiction and got so bad I was shaking, vomiting, anxious and very sick. every day for two weeks i had my symptoms exponentially increase.
I wouldn't call someone who takes antidepressants weak though, we all go through **** in our lives, and we all handle stress differently. Sometimes you need a crutch tempoarily so you can think clearly and get back on your feet. I agree it's not a permanent solution, but it can allow you to work more effectively on your problems.
curious how much complaints this guy gets about ppl quitting these drugs though firsthand. Research of my own suggests I'm not alone in my experience.
