I don't like the fact that Spartacus did not get to kill Crassus and that Gannicus did not kill Ceasar and that the only two f'cking guys who lived were the two homos.
I know they had to follow the original story but it sucks nonetheless
The fight scenes were fire though, the conversation between Spartacus and Crassus was kool as well.
Sad to see such a damn good show come to an end, show was f'cking awesome. On the list for Bannukah

Just watched the last episode this morning. Spoiler alert, everybody dies lol. Wicked fight scenes. Ireally thought they were going to make it so either Spartacus or Gannicus escaped death and made it to the mountain pass. I think they did a good job wrapping up the series though.

Never saw this show, but really liked the Kirk Douglas movie version; and of course Gladiator borrowed heavily.
I have the entire Rome series on DVD. That wasn't bad but too sexually gratuitous (and I'm no prude); I made the mistake of showing an episode to my mother.
I have the entire Tudors series on DVD. Mixed feelings. The first 2 seasons were better IMO.
Never saw the Borgias but would like to."An infraction is better than an infarction."

All are "sexually gratuitous" but that implies unnecessary which I don't think was the case with The Tudors, it's King Henry VIII after all.
Spartacus takes the sex scenes to an entirely different level, there are orgies, rape, and more but they do warn viewers before each show.

That was Charlton Heston, who was also Ben Hur. Guess it's easy to confuse your Roman characters.
Great last episode, I thought. I knew, historically, that Spartacus was never found and Gannicus died but damn, poor bugger being crucified. Very harsh on the slave girl too. I guess she had a tragic ending coming. Glad that Agron at least got to live. Someone had to. And yes, liked the credits with all the characters at the end. It was nice that they finished with Andy Whitfield - so sad. I think Liam did a good job considering although it was a tough act to follow.Current log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=149169243

Edit: Charlton Heston = Planet of the Apes, Ben Hur | Kirk Douglas = Spartacus | posting before coffee = bad

I dunno. I thought it was fitting for him to go out like that since he was always "the faithless one". Guy ended up making the ultimate sacrifice. I really felt for Kore (shocked me with her being crucified) and Saxa (so devoted to Gannicus even though she got the shaft).
I was surprised that Crassus' wife didn't play a larger role than she did. She was a bit character.
Great finale over all. Is it bad that I cheered when Naevia got owned by Caesar? Been waiting for that all season.
Word is that DeKnight and STARZ are considering a spin-off show centered around Caesar, Crassus and Pompey.... either that or possibly one about Gannicus and what he got up to in the time after he won his freedom.

Strong Bump.
I got bored one night. So I decided to surf Netflix. I watched Season 1 Episode 1 of Spartacus, and I got hooked!! It was a great show.
I finished the first season a few days ago, then I got sad when I learned the star of Spartacus passed away..
I will start Season 2 this week. This above all..

And it must follow, as the night the day..
Thou can'st not then be false to any man..
